They are also not under pressure to sell as they are less at risk of breaching the Premier League\u2019s Profit and Sustainability rules than in last summer\u2019s window<\/p>\n<p>Still, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.football365.com\/liverpool\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Liverpool<\/strong> <\/a>are in the market for a striker to replace Darwin Nunez and have reportedly made Isak their dream target.<\/p>\n<p>The Reds recently made a cheeky approach to Newcastle for Isak and have Hugo Ekitike lined up as an alternative.<\/p>\n<p>On Friday night, Fabrizio Romano provided an update on Liverpool\u2019s move for Isak and Ekitike.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor Isak, the position from Liverpool has always been clear. Liverpool told Newcastle he is worth \u00a3120m but the door was closed. There\u2019s no big movements on that story.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLiverpool remain in contact with Eintracht Frankfurt and the agents of Ekitike. They made one proposal but it was rejected. Newcastle are no longer in the conversation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEintracht want more than Liverpool\u2019s first bid, which was close to \u20ac80m. The Reds are still talking to the agents and Eintracht to make a new offer.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s still no second bid on the table but there\u2019s an agreement ready between Ekitike and Liverpool. Reports within Bar\u00e7a\u2019s entourage suggest that Newcastle could open the door to him for less than \u20ac100 million, a figure that would better fit Bar\u00e7a\u2019s economic and sporting strategy, provided its financial fair play margin improves.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Bar\u00e7a consider this to be the ideal time to pursue his signing, as it would coincide with the end of Lewandowski\u2019s tenure and allow for a natural transition into the No. 9 position.
