PRINCE Harry fears he will be banished from the UK when William ascends the throne, a royal expert has claimed.<\/p>\n

The Duke of Sussex <\/a>is reportedly desperate to heal his fractured family relationships – primarily with his father King Charles.<\/p>\n

This comes amid swirling speculation after senior aides to both Harry and the Monarch were snapped meeting in London last week.<\/a><\/p>\n

Meredith Maines, Meghan <\/a>and Harry\u2019s chief of staff in California, and Liam Maguire, the head of their UK PR operation, recently met Charles\u2019s communication secretary Tobyn Andreae at the Royal Over-Seas League which sits just three minutes from Clarence House.<\/p>\n

It is unclear which side initiated the summit.<\/p>\n

The secret peace summit sparked rumours a reconciliation\u00a0is in the works, but Prince William’s<\/a> team was notably absent.<\/p>\n

It comes after the Duke revealed in\u00a0his bombshell BBC interview<\/a>\u00a0 “life is precious” and “I would like to get my father and brother back”.<\/p>\n

Royal expert Tom Bower told the Mirror<\/a>: “Whether they\u2019ll meet again in Charles\u2019s lifetime depends on how long Charles lives.<\/p>\n

“I couldn\u2019t say never because I\u2019m sure Charles wants to meet his son, but so much depends on how Harry behaves.<\/p>\n

\u201cHarry is seriously worried that when his father dies one day, William will literally banish him and he will have no status in Britain at all…He will be persona non grata.\u201d<\/p>\n

The author, who wrote Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War Between the Windsors, claimed the Duke is “desperate” to make amends with his father.<\/p>\n

Although Mr Bower suspected the Palace could be reluctant to build bridges with the dad-of-two, due to a lack of trust. <\/p>\n

I know Prince Harry & he\u2019s desperate to mend the royal rift for three key reasons<\/p>\n

The expert also thought it would be unlikely for Harry to meet with Charles when he visits the UK in September for the annual WellChild event.<\/p>\n

In September the King should still be on holiday at his Balmoral retreat, ahead of hosting\u00a0US President Donald Trump<\/a>\u00a0in the middle of the month.<\/p>\n

And, even if the father and son do get back on regular speaking terms, there’s a lot of damage to unpack. <\/p>\n

Mr Bower highlighted Harry’s BBC interview<\/a> in the wake of losing his security case appeal <\/a>in May. <\/p>\n

In the bombshell chat, the Duke dubbed his defeat a “good old fashioned establishment stitch-up”\u00a0and pointed his finger at the Royal Household on swaying the decision.<\/p>\n

The royal author claimed Harry “fears that once Charles dies he will get no help from William” when it comes to his security case.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, when it comes to Meghan Markle, Mr Bower suggested she would be indifferent to whether or not a reconciliation happened.<\/p>\n

The Duchess posted about sending her As Ever wine <\/a>as a birthday present to her “ladies near and far” on the same day\u00a0Queen Camilla\u00a0<\/a>turned 78.<\/p>\n

It is unclear who she is sending the wine to.<\/p>\n

She posted the video on what would have been Wednesday in California, but early Thursday morning in the UK.<\/p>\n

This comes after another royal expert told The Sun Prince William would never be able to forgive his brother.<\/a><\/p>\n

But Mr Hugo Vickers said he believed there’s “hope” for Harry and King Charles.<\/p>\n

“I don’t think it’s all gone too far,” he said.<\/p>\n

The brothers used to share a close bond together, with their father<\/p>\n

“It’s always\u00a0good to talk<\/a>. Lots can come out of talking, and you know it could perhaps lead to something.<\/p>\n

“We don’t know what they talked about or what their plans were. But that’s a good sign.”<\/p>\n

Despite hopes of a reunion between\u00a0the King<\/a>\u00a0and his son Mr Vickers warns a cheery reunion with Will is a far less likely possibility.<\/p>\n

He said: “So as for William. It’s much more difficult because the barbs were sent in his direction from\u00a0Prince Harry, but very much directed towards Catherine<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“That is very insulting, and I think\u00a0William\u00a0is likely to be more of an unforgiving person than his father.”<\/p>\n

Mr Vickers added: “I think at the moment, if I was advising\u00a0Prince Harry, I would say, get onto good terms with your father as soon as possible, and then that’s step one and step two, try to get on good terms with your brother.”<\/p>\n

Harry is reportedly set to invite his brother and father to the next Invictus Games.<\/p>\n

If\u00a0the Monarch<\/a>\u00a0and his eldest son were to attend it could mark the biggest step towards reconciliation so far.<\/p>\n

In the meantime, the Duke has been following in his mother Princess Diana’s footsteps in Angola this week.<\/a><\/p>\n

He was pictured\u00a0walking among landmines<\/a>\u00a0with with charity Halo Trust 28 years after his mother did the same.<\/p>\n

Harry\u2019s solo adventure saw him land at Luanda\u00a0airport and there proceed to take a series of small two-person planes to the site of the mines.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Duke of Sussex<\/a>\u00a0hopes the publicity from the daring stunt will encourage the Angolan government to make more donations to Halo – of with he became patron in 2019.<\/p>\n

FAMILY FEUD<\/p>\n

With rumours swirling around the possibility of a reconciliation, Harry previously said in his BBC interview that he had “forgiven” his family.<\/p>\n

The Duke also claimed\u00a0reconciliation was now down to Charles<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The feud between the Duke and his family started when he and\u00a0Meghan Markle\u00a0announced on January 8, 2020, that they would be stepping down as \u2018senior\u2019 members of the Royal Family.<\/p>\n

Since then it was revealed that\u00a0Harry has limited contact with his father<\/a>\u00a0the King along with a slew of other revelations about the family feud.<\/p>\n

There was hope for reconciliation last year when Harry travelled to the UK to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of his Invictus Games.<\/p>\n

However, the\u00a0King and Harry failed to meet\u00a0due to the Monarch’s “full programme”.<\/p>\n

The Duke was offered to spend his time at one of the royal apartments – however he turned it down in what\u00a0was branded a snub to his father.<\/a><\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Princes William and Harry have not been in direct communication since the release of Harry’s controversial memoir, Spare, in January 2023.<\/p>\n

Their last reported interaction was during the funeral of their grandmother,\u00a0Queen Elizabeth II<\/a>, in September 2022, but conversations were said to be brief.<\/p>\n

The feuding brothers reportedly did not speak to each other despite standing \u201cvirtually back to back\u201d among mourners at their uncle\u2019s memorial service last year.<\/p>\n

The brothers have been at loggerheads since\u00a0Harry and wife Meghan quit royal duty<\/a>\u00a0in 2020 for a new life in the US, where they have launched a succession of barbs at the\u00a0Royal Family.<\/p>\n

Growing up, Wills and Harry shared many of the same friends who were part of their close, tight-knit circle.<\/p>\n

But their relationship took a sour turn after Harry lobbed\u00a0vile allegations against the Prince of Wales<\/a>\u00a0in his memoir Spare.<\/p>\n

In the book, he claimed William had\u00a0physically attacked him\u00a0<\/a>and knocked him to the floor in 2019 and made insulting comments about Meghan.<\/p>\n

The Sussexes had also targeted Princess Kate, when Meghan claimed the royal made her cry.<\/p>\n

The bitter feud was ignited with full force when the Sussexes told Oprah, in their\u00a02021 sit down interview<\/a>, that certain members of the Royal Family had speculated about Prince Archie’s skin colour.<\/p>\n
