Travellers have reportedly moved back on to land opposite Alexander Stadium in Birmingham<\/a>.<\/p>\n A large convoy of caravans were said to have returned to Perry Park, located off Church Road in Perry Barr<\/a>.<\/p>\n It comes after travellers pitched up at the same park near the Commonwealth Games<\/a> stadium in March<\/a> and April <\/a>this year.<\/p>\n READ MORE: <\/strong>Woman’s body pulled from Birmingham canal as police seal off towpath<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n A concerned local told BirminghamLive today: “As of this morning, they’re still there.<\/p>\n He claimed: “Rubbish is starting to be dumped. They have gained access again through unlocked barriers.<\/p>\n “Someone needs to be held to account.”<\/p>\n In April, Coun Jon Hunt called the incursions a “nuisance”. The councillor for Perry Barr said: “It’s a real nuisance.<\/p>\n ” It’s spoiling the park over the holiday period. The site needs to be made secure.<\/p>\n “They’re taking advantage of the fact that renovation works are underway in the park.<\/p>\n “I’m going to have a discussion with the people doing the work and the council could be doing more to secure the fencing.”<\/p>\n Perry Park is home to the Alexander Athletics Stadium, the GMAC High Performance Centre and a BMX track.<\/p>\n There is also an allotments, playing fields, and a reservoir with access to the canal.<\/p>\n![\"Travellers](\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/1752978324_116_0_travellers.jpg\")
