Sheffield Wednesday are undergoing a nightmare<\/a> this summer, with owner Dejphon Chansiri struggling to run the club.<\/p>\n

The Thai owner has shown intentions of selling the club, with Tilman Fertitta and Francesco Guardascione named as likely successors to Chansiri, but such talks have since gone quiet.<\/p>\n

Amid the uncertainty, panic stations have resumed in S6, with several first-team players moving on.<\/p>\n

Sheffield Wednesday have lost Josh Windass<\/a> and Michael Smith after their contracts were mutually ended \u2013 the Owls\u2019 top two league scorers last season, whilst Djeidi Gassama and Anthony Musaba have also been sold for a cut-price.<\/p>\n

Per a report by Thai Newsroom<\/a>, Sheffield Wednesday\u2019s takeover, which professionals oversaw, had failed as a result of a \u2018lack of clarity and accord over the Owls\u2019 unsettled financial burdens with the owner allegedly taking the helm in shambles and mess\u2019.<\/p>\n

Such an issue suggests that Dejphon Chansiri and Sheffield Wednesday are back to square one regarding the sale of the club.<\/p>\n

Chansiri\u2019s decisions regarding the club do not suggest that a takeover is merely close, with emergency funds being found through player sales. Sheffield Wednesday\u2019s first-team assets, those that are left, are being targeted to fund the day-to-day running of the football club, leaving the current squad in disarray.<\/p>\n
