England have made it through to the semi-finals of Women’s Euro 2025 as their title defence continues, live on talkSPORT.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Lionesses’ stunning triumph<\/a>\u00a0at Wembley in 2022 marked the first major trophy of any senior England team since the 1966 World Cup.<\/p>\n

The tournament was the women’s national team’s maiden silverware, which Sarina Wiegman’s side following up with Finalissima glory.<\/p>\n

England were given a\u00a0tough group<\/a>\u00a0for Euro 2025, drawing the Netherlands, France and home nation rivals Wales.<\/p>\n

And after losing to France in their opening game, their chances of making it through to the knockout stages looked slim.<\/p>\n

However, big wins against the Netherlands and Wales in their following two games saw them cruise through<\/a>.<\/p>\n

England then pulled off a remarkable win the quarter-finals, coming from two goals down to take Sweden to penalties in Zurich before coming out on top in the spot kicks.<\/p>\n

Now, a semi-final showdown awaits…<\/p>\n

England’s next opponent at Euro 2025<\/p>\n

England will face Italy in the Women’s Euro 2025 semi-finals.<\/p>\n

The game will take place on Tuesday, July 22 at 8pm UK time and is being played at the Stade de Geneve in Geneva.<\/p>\n

Italy came second in Group B behind Spain.<\/p>\n

They beat Belgium 1-0 in their tournament opener before drawing with Portugal and being beaten by the Spanish.<\/p>\n

They then stunned Group A winners Norway in the quarter-finals, winning 2-1 thanks to Cristiana Girelli’s 90th minute goal.<\/p>\n

Whoever comes out on top in the semi-final clash will take on Germany or Spain in the final.<\/p>\n

The showpiece match takes place at the St. Jakob-Park Stadium in Basel on Sunday, July 27.<\/p>\n
