A man has died and two others have been rushed to hospital after a car ploughed into a crowd outside a pub.<\/p>\n

The Metropolitan Police were called to the Albert Bow, in Bow, east London, in the early hours of this morning, where they found three people injured outside the venue.<\/p>\n

Paramedics pronounced one person dead at the scene, with the other two taken to hospital, but their conditions are unknown.<\/p>\n

The driver and another passenger have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.<\/p>\n

The incident occurred outside the Albert at 1:35am<\/p>\n

It is believed the car swerved off the carriage and crashed into the building.<\/p>\n

Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended the scene on St Stephen’s Road.<\/p>\n

A spokesman for the London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 1:35am today (July 20) to reports of a road traffic collision on St Stephen’s Road, Bow.<\/p>\n

“We sent resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, an advanced paramedic, an incident response officer, members of our hazardous area response team (HART) and London’s Air Ambulance.<\/p>\n

“Our crews treated three people. Sadly, one person was declared dead at the scene. We took the other two patients to hospital.”<\/p>\n

The Met Police confirmed they were called to the scene alongside the London Ambulance Service to a report of a road traffic collision.<\/p>\n

The force remains at the scene as they conduct their investigations.<\/p>\n

A spokesman said: “A car left the carriageway and collided with a building at the junction of Roman Road and St Stephen’s Road. One of the passengers in the car was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n

The Met Police confirmed that two people have been arrested<\/p>\n

“The driver of the car and another passenger – two men in their twenties – suffered injuries which have been confirmed as neither life-threatening nor life-changing.<\/p>\n

“They have both been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.”<\/p>\n

The force added that a crime scene remains in the area whilst “specialist officers complete their enquires, which are ongoing”.<\/p>\n
