Leeds United could potentially sign Fenerbahce centre-back Diego Carlos this transfer window with the right offer.<\/strong><\/p>\n The Brazilian defender signed for the Turkish outfit in the winter transfer window from Aston Villa, but hasn\u2019t featured much under Jose Mourinho.<\/p>\n Carlos has emerged as a target at Elland Road<\/a>, with the Whites putting in a loan-to-buy bid for the 32-year-old, who has won the Europa League with Sevilla.<\/p>\n The West Yorkshire outfit have already strengthened their backline with the likes of former Udinese star Jaka Bijol<\/a> and Sebastiaan Bornauw, but may soon have another centre-back if they meet the Super Lig club\u2019s condition.<\/p>\n Fenerbahce\u2019s management will only consider loan offers for Carlos with a mandatory buy option amid interest from Leeds, according to Fanatik<\/a>.<\/p>\n The news outlet reports (19 July) that the Whites are monitoring the 32-year-old\u2019s situation at the Turkish outfit and plan to bring him to Elland Road<\/a> in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n It\u2019s been claimed that the Super Lig club are open to the Brazilian centre-back\u2019s departure, with Burnley and Sunderland also expressing their interest.<\/p>\n Carlos\u2019 combined record at Aston Villa and Fenerbahce last season.<\/p>\n Daniel Farke relied on Pascal Struijk<\/a> and Joe Rodon as his first-choice defensive pairing last season and won the Championship title, but it isn\u2019t surprising to see reinforcements being added.<\/p>\n The West Yorkshire outfit clearly lacked depth in their backline in the previous campaign, with Ethan Ampadu, Max Wober and James Debayo the only other options at the German manager\u2019s disposal.<\/p>\n It appears that the Peacocks are now well-prepared defensively for the Premier League, but they evidently require more strength in midfield and attack.<\/p>\n Wober has joined Werder Bremen on loan<\/a> from the Whites this summer, and it wouldn\u2019t be surprising to see another defender leave if Carlos arrives.<\/p>\n Leeds have also signed Sean Longstaff from Newcastle United, with Hoffenheim midfielder Anton Stach being another player<\/a> they are pursuing.<\/p>\n The West Yorkshire outfit should now focus on bolstering their attack, with Farke leaving Patrick Bamford out of his plans<\/a>.<\/p>\n Mateo Joseph also wants to leave Elland Road, and how the situation in LS11 unfolds before the end of August remains to be seen.<\/p>\n![\"Leeds](\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/diego-carlos-aston-villa-1024x576.jpg\")
