Homes were evacuated after a car was smashed into a property,<\/a> causing residents to be checked over by paramedics in north Manchester on Wednesday (April 16).<\/p>\n

Bricks were sent crumbling into the ground after the car veered off the road and hit the front of a house in Blackley, with a glass door window also shattered.<\/p>\n

The Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that two homes were evacuated as a precaution following the collision, and that two people were checked over by paramedics at the scene. One man was taken to hospital.<\/p>\n

Police, paramedics and fire crews were called to the incident on Moston<\/a> Road in Blackley<\/a> at around 1.20pm, at the junction with Upper Conran Street.<\/p>\n

A white Nissan was also left with a badly damaged bumper following the collision and was seen at the roadside, as part of the road was blocked by emergency crews.<\/p>\n

Greater Manchester Police<\/a> confirmed they responded at 1.22pm to reports of a collision between a car and a house along with colleagues from NWAS and the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service.<\/p>\n

A Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: \u201cAt around 1:30pm today, firefighters were called to reports of a crash on Moston Lane in Manchester.<\/p>\n

\u201cTwo fire engines from Manchester central<\/a> fire station as well as the technical rescue unit from Leigh fire station quickly arrived at the scene, where a car had crashed into a residential property.<\/p>\n

“One male casualty was treated at the scene by colleagues from the North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) and taken to hospital.<\/p>\n

“A further female casualty was also treated at the scene. Residents at two neighbouring properties have been evacuated as a precaution.
