MAD Vladimir Putin’s top stooge has raged that European troops in Ukraine would “return in coffins” as plans are drawn up for a peacekeeping force in the war-torn country.<\/p>\n

French President Emmanuel Macron<\/a>, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and US envoy Steve Witkoff began their meeting in Paris on\u00a0crafting a ceasefire<\/a>\u00a0to finally\u00a0end the bloody war.<\/a><\/p>\n

As Ukrainian officials discuss deploying troops in Volodymyr Zelensky’s nation<\/a> with their British, French and German counterparts, Putin’s puppets have been raging over the talks.<\/p>\n

Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev<\/a> made a clear warning to the West of sending peacekeeping forces – a topic that has definitely been covered in the French capital.<\/p>\n

He fumed: “Apparently, the top of Ukraine\u2019s fascist clique have come to Paris for talks with the UK, Germany and France on how many European coffins they will be ready to accept after the deployment of the troops of the `coalition of the willing\u2019 in Ukraine.”<\/p>\n

Russia<\/a>‘s Defence Ministry also claimed today that Ukraine had carried out 10 attacks on Russian energy<\/a> infrastructure over the past day, violating the US-brokered moratorium on such strikes, Russian news agency Interfax reported.<\/p>\n

This claim comes a mere few hours after Putin’s forces killed more civilians, including two children,<\/a> in a barbaric strike on Dnipro’s city centre.<\/p>\n

Both Russia<\/a> and Ukraine have repeatedly accused each other of violating the pause on energy strikes<\/a> since it was agreed last month.<\/p>\n

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and US envoy Steve Witkoff arrived in the French capital as President\u00a0Trump<\/a>‘s push for a ceasefire has yet to prosper – despite his pressing pledges to end the war.<\/p>\n

Zelensky has desperately urged Ukraine’s allies to “put pressure on the killers” following last night’s horror<\/a> attacks.<\/p>\n

He said on Telegram that every defence package was “literally protecting lives” as “Russia uses every day and every night to kill”.<\/p>\n

He added: “We must put pressure on the killers and help life to end this war and guarantee a reliable peace.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile an American-owned company seized by the Kremlin<\/a> it to be used to supply food to the Russian army<\/a>, documents have revealed.<\/p>\n

The bombshell revelation potentially threatens the warming relations between Moscow and Washington<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As the US and the Kremlin continue negotiations to stop the bloody war, canned food maker Glavprodukt – which was seized in October – has been caught int he crosshairs. <\/p>\n

US Secretary of State Rubio has said its treatment will be part of the conversation about resetting US-Russia relations.<\/p>\n

A letter addressed to Russia’s prosecutor general from Glavprodukts new management said that the seizure was necessary to ensure stable production – including for future supplies to the national guard and defence ministry.<\/p>\n

Glavprodukt was seized from Los Angeles-based Leonid Smirnov.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile pal to Trump Italian Prime Minister\u00a0Giorgia Meloni<\/a>\u00a0is hoped to relieve the recently frosty US-Europe relationship as she heads to Washington DC<\/a> to meet the President.<\/p>\n

Her right-wing background has placed her in a position of privilege with the Republican, demonstrated through her receiving an invitation to attend his inauguration unlike other European leaders.<\/p>\n

But this also means Meloni could visit the\u00a0White House<\/a>\u00a0and focus predominantly on striking deals for\u00a0Italy<\/a>\u00a0rather than the continent as a whole.<\/p>\n

WAR RAGES ON<\/p>\n

As the bloody war rages on, Vlad has refused to let up on his attacks as he continues to refuse to accept a ceasefire.<\/p>\n

Putin\u2019s forces staged a major attack on Kherson on Wednesday which killed at least one.<\/p>\n

The head of the Kherson city military administration, Roman Mrochko, dramatically came under fire while making a statement about the city being attacked.<\/p>\n

This came after the US issued its most stern warning yet about the peace process.<\/p>\n

US state department spokeswoman Tammy Bruce said: \u201cThere will be no negotiations, no decisions, no agreements until this carnage stops.”<\/p>\n

She added that the continuing slaughter of civilians only raises questions over who is truly committed to peace.<\/p>\n

It comes as Trump’s top advisers are set to travel to\u00a0Paris<\/a>\u00a0on Wednesday for talks with\u00a0Europe<\/a>\u00a0over Ukraine and its\u00a0future, the US state department said today.\u00a0<\/p>\n

US special envoys Marco Rubio and Steve Witkoff will remain in\u00a0France<\/a>\u00a0until Friday as they look to “stop the bloodshed\u201d, according to a statement.<\/p>\n

The meeting comes only days after Trump publicly blasted\u00a0Volodymyr Zelensky<\/a>\u00a0for \u201callowing\u201d Russia\u2019s invasion.<\/p>\n

Trump told reporters: \u201cYou don’t start a war against someone 20 times your size and then hope that people give you some missiles.\u201d<\/p>\n

Can there be peace?<\/p>\n

EARLIER this year it seemed hopeful that world leaders would broker a peace deal in Ukraine.<\/strong><\/p>\n

But these hopes are wavering as Putin has repeatedly refused to cooperate, instead choosing to ramp up attacks on Ukraine.<\/p>\n

Putin’s latest recruitment drive could have huge ramifications for peace with\u00a0Donald Trump\u00a0already voicing serious concerns over\u00a0Putin’s\u00a0readiness to agree to a ceasefire in recent days.<\/p>\n

Putin has already angered the US President over refusing to commit to any truce agreement.<\/p>\n

Trump previously admitted he was \u201cp***ed off\u201d with the Russian tyrant after he called for Zelensky’s removal from office in an effort to stall peace.<\/p>\n

In Europe Sir\u00a0Keir Starmer\u00a0and\u00a0Emmanuel Macron\u00a0have put forward an idea to help maintain a\u00a0future\u00a0truce deal by sending their troops to patrol.<\/p>\n

But this proposal has been widely condemned by Putin and his Kremlin pals sparking further Russia-European tensions.<\/p>\n

Putin is also set to discuss Ukraine when he welcomes Qatar\u2019s Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani in\u00a0Moscow<\/a>\u00a0this week.<\/p>\n

Macron has taken the lead in seeking to forge a coordinated European response to defending\u00a0Ukraine<\/a>, during both the current conflict and in its eventual aftermath.<\/p>\n

Zelensky’s chief of staff Andriy Yermak said he and Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga and Defence Minister Rustem Umerov were in Paris to meet\u00a0France<\/a>,\u00a0Germany<\/a>, Britain and the\u00a0United States<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A French diplomatic source had said earlier Rubio and\u00a0France<\/a>‘s Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot would discuss “the war in Ukraine, the situation in the Middle East and the Iranian nuclear file”.<\/p>\n

This will be Rubio’s third trip to\u00a0Europe<\/a>\u00a0since taking office.<\/p>\n

Witkoff said on Monday, just days after his third meeting with Putin, that he himself sees a peace deal “emerging”.<\/p>\n

The Paris talks come after discussions between the United States and\u00a0Iran\u00a0on Tehran’s nuclear program were held Saturday in Oman.<\/p>\n

And in the latest development, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi will visit\u00a0Russia\u00a0this week ahead of a planned second round of talks.<\/p>\n

Despite a series of diplomatic efforts, Russia’s strikes that have recently killed dozens of people show how the war is taking a hefty toll.<\/p>\n

Who is Dmitry Medvedev?<\/p>\n

DMITRY Medvedev is a Russian politician and Putin lapdog who has served as deputy chairman of the Security Council of Russia since 2020.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the 2008 election, he was elected president and was viewed as more liberal than his predecessor mad Vlad Putin.<\/p>\n

Medvedev looked to modernise Russia’s economy and society and reduce its reliance on oil and gas.<\/p>\n

In the 2012 election, he was succeeded by Putin but he was then appointed as prime minister.<\/p>\n

He resigned in January 2020 alongside other government officials to make way for Putin’s constitutional changes.<\/p>\n

Medvedev was then appointed to the new office of deputy chairman of the Security Council.<\/p>\n
