Eamonn Holmes<\/a> and girlfriend Katie Alexander were spotted at Heathrow<\/a> Airport on Saturday as they prepared to jet off on a ‘luxurious Greek getaway’.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The GB news<\/a>\u00a0host, 65, and the leggy blonde, 43, were joined by her three grown up children for the sun-soaked trip following the couple’s reported ‘rocky patch’ as two of his sons side with ex Ruth Langford.<\/p>\n

Eamonn, who uses a motorised wheelchair due to ongoing back problems, cut a causal figure in a pin striped shirt and dark trousers as he arrived at the airport.<\/p>\n

While he wrapped up in a sports jacket, marriage counsellor Katie appeared ready for the sunshine in a leggy black mini skirt and tight white vest.<\/p>\n

Completing the summery look with a tan blazer she cinched her waist with a chunky belt and carried a panama hat.<\/p>\n

Amid his strained relationship with his sons, a source told The Sun:<\/a> ‘It was [Eamonn and Katie’s] first rocky patch but there\u2019s nothing a holiday can\u2019t fix’.<\/p>\n

It comes after MailOnline exclusively revealed that he broadcaster and father of four\u00a0had had a terrible fall-out with Niall, 32, the youngest of his three children with first wife Gabrielle. And more devastatingly, Niall has sided with his stepmother\u00a0Ruth<\/a>\u00a0over his own father, following the couple\u2019s split.<\/p>\n

Ruth and Eamonn announced a year ago that they were to part after 27 years as a couple, and 14 years of marriage<\/a>, and now it seems this most toxic of divorces is set to get far worse. As one source revealed: \u2018It\u2019s fair to say that things between Eamonn and Ruth are at the pretty ugly stage now.\u2019<\/p>\n

It\u2019s also understood that Jack, 23, the son he and Ruth have together, has sided with his mother. Before announcing the split, Ruth set Jack up in a flat in Salford. A source said: \u2018Things remain strained between him and his father.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n

It has been reported Eamonn and Katie were first in touch 12 years ago, when it\u2019s claimed they exchanged flirty messages. It\u2019s suggested that, in the year before their split, Ruth learned Eamonn had been showering Katie with gifts.\u00a0<\/p>\n

But both Eamonn and Katie, who was also married, insist nothing went on until both their marriages ended. The fact they are still together is said to have \u2018gone down like a lead balloon\u2019 with Eamonn\u2019s family.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Eamonn is also father to son Declan, 36, and daughter Rebecca, 34, from his first marriage with whom he is still believed to be close.\u00a0<\/p>\n

It comes following reports that the TV personality was vowing to give his new girlfriend the same lavish lifestyle his ex Ruth<\/a>\u00a0enjoyed, with sources claiming he is willing to ‘fight for what he deserves’ in their divorce.<\/p>\n

Eamonn is said to be now ‘determined’ to get his finances back in order, and is ‘dragging his feet’ in his divorce.\u00a0<\/p>\n

This is in stark contrast to Ruth, who is thought to be desperate to finalise her split from Eamonn, having sought advice from lawyers to keep their\u00a0\u00a33.6million six-bedroom home in Surrey.<\/p>\n

A source told The Sun<\/a>: ‘Katie’s been a rock to Eamonn throughout his ongoing divorce Eamonn’s health is always a big concern and after a few tax blows lately, he is more determined than ever to get his finances back in order.’<\/p>\n

‘Eamonn feels hard done by in the divorce. He’s dragging his feet because Ruth’s got the house and they have a lot of other financials still to sort out between them.<\/p>\n

‘Eamonn knows his mobility issues are a worry. He needs a carer to help him get ready for work and that’s expensive.’<\/p>\n

The insider added that Eamonn ‘doesn’t want to lose’ Katie, and is keen to give her the ‘kind of lifestyle she deserves.’\u00a0<\/p>\n

And while Eamonn has embarked on a new relationship, he had continued to wear his gold band on his wedding finger.\u00a0<\/p>\n

However, as he hosted a recent edition of GB News alongside co-star Ellie Costello, his ring was noticeably absent from his hand.<\/p>\n
