He’s been busy warming up crowds for Oasis over the last three weeks, but singer Richard Ashcroft is also preparing for another another exciting project.<\/p>\n

The Wigan-born former frontman of The Verve, is currently out on tour with Liam and Noel Gallagher, playing support alongside Cast for the Oasis’ UK run of 19 shows this summer. His short but sweet setlist for the gigs has included Verve hits and solo material.<\/p>\n

After embarking upon the biggest stadium tour of the year as special guest to Oasis, earlier this week Richard Ashcroft announced a huge show at Manchester\u2019s Co-op Live. He’ll play on Saturday, 8 November and tickets went on sale this past Friday.<\/p>\n

Providing an update on the tour, Ashcroft has been out and about in Manchester, and he’s shared a message with his fans.<\/p>\n

Posters in the city centre detailing his tour later this year have been plastered across a wall, and the singer decided to give an update on how ticket sales are going.<\/p>\n

A video shared on his social media captioned “C’mon People! RA x” shows him walking up to the posters with a can of white spray paint and writing the words ‘Sold Out’ across it as well as signing his initials.<\/p>\n

Fans loved the video and headed to the comments telling Ashcroft he “deserved it” and congratulating him.<\/p>\n

One wrote: “Amazing. Why the F do I not live in the UK. I’d be there in a heartbeat. You were simply amazing in Cardiff and Manchester.”<\/p>\n

Another joked: “You couldn’t rip it from the wall and send it me?”<\/p>\n

The announcement of his tour later this year follows the news of the October 3 release date of his brand new album \u2018Lovin\u2019 You\u2019.<\/p>\n

His seventh solo set, \u2018Lovin\u2019 You\u2019 is his first all-new album since 2018\u2019s \u2018Natural Rebel\u2019 and follows 2021\u2019s \u2018Acoustic Hymns, Vol. 1\u2019.<\/p>\n

His first chapter with The Verve reached a remarkable peak with \u2018Urban Hymns\u2019, a hit-laden set, which is one of the biggest selling albums in UK history with 11 Platinum certifications. The band achieved a second number one album with \u2018Forth\u2019 and won three BRIT Awards.<\/p>\n
