incident.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thescottishsun.co.uk\/topic\/cops\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cops<\/a> raced to a shop on Budhill Avenue, in the Springboig area, at href=\"https:\/\/www.thescottishsun.co.uk\/topic\/co-op\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Co-op<\/a> store at the corner of the street, blocking access to the public. <\/p>\n<p>A large <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thescottishsun.co.uk\/topic\/police\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">police<\/a> van has been spotted parked at the scene directly outside the shop.<\/p>\n<p>Officers were called to the store, which is close to Shettleston train station, when the alarm was raised at around 7pm.<\/p>\n<p>Blue tape has been erected around the area, with numerous officers standing guard.<\/p>\n<p>It covers the area around the Scotmid shop, which sits on the corner of the street, and the tape stretches around the bend of the road.<\/p>\n<p>No one is being allowed access to get through this section of the road.<\/p>\n<p>And it is also blocking anyone from accessing the now-closed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thescottishsun.co.uk\/topic\/greggs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Greggs<\/a> branch, which is located next door.<\/p>\n<p>It is unclear what sparked the emergency response.<\/p>\n<p>However, officers appear to have concentrated their efforts on the Scotmid shop.<\/p>\n<p>Concerned locals have flocked to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thescottishsun.co.uk\/topic\/social-media\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">social media<\/a> after hearing of the incident in the Budhill area.<\/p>\n<p>Shocking moment car FIREBOMBED in broad daylight in Scots street<\/p>\n<p>One local said they noticed an increased police presence at around 8pm.<\/p>\n<p>While another said they saw a helicopter circling the skies above the area at around 8.30pm.<\/p>\n<p>Someone else wrote: &#8220;Hope everyone is ok&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>While a fourth chimed in: &#8220;Hope all the lovely staff are ok&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thescottishsun.co.uk\/topic\/police-scotland\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Police Scotland<\/a> has been contacted for
