{"id":278469,"date":"2025-07-20T22:51:09","date_gmt":"2025-07-20T22:51:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/278469\/"},"modified":"2025-07-20T22:51:09","modified_gmt":"2025-07-20T22:51:09","slug":"jaron-ennis-branded-biggest-duck-in-boxing-by-former-world-champion-lets-fight-chump","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/278469\/","title":{"rendered":"Jaron Ennis Branded &#8216;Biggest Duck In Boxing&#8217; By Former World Champion: &#8220;Let&#8217;s Fight Chump&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A two-time world champion has sent a scathing message to former unified welterweight champion <a href=\"https:\/\/www.secondsout.com\/topic\/jaron-ennis\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jaron Ennis<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/boxing-philadelphia-boots-jaron-ennis-aafa7372f9443e97b65d44b949415243\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u2018Boots\u2019 established himself as arguably the top welterweight in the world recently<\/a>, first being elevated to IBF champion at the end of 2023 when former champion Terence Crawford vacated his crown.<\/p>\n<p>The 28-year-old from Philadelphia would go on to make several successful defences of his title before he added the WBA belt to his collection earlier this year, stopping Lithuania\u2019s Eimantas Stanionis in the sixth round of their bout in Atlantic City.<\/p>\n<p>However, it has now been confirmed that Ennis has opted to vacate his welterweight belts to make a move up to super welterweight, and one man who has expressed an interest in facing the unbeaten American is two-time 147 champion Keith Thurman.<\/p>\n<p>In an interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/cycM8K5WFys?si=d6JPM_QhBgIKr-se&amp;t=35\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Fight Hub TV<\/a>, Thurman was asked if he would be interested in a showdown with \u2018Boots\u2019 as he claims he would fight \u2018anybody in the world\u2019.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cOf course. Enough money on the table man I\u2019ll fight anybody in the world baby. You know he\u2019s moving up I mean honestly, let\u2019s take a breather real quick, don\u2019t ever worry about Keith Thurman fighting people when the money\u2019s right.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Thurman then followed this up by calling Ennis the \u2018biggest duck\u2019 in boxing.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cBoots didn\u2019t want Teofimo. Boots doesn\u2019t want Ortiz. Hold up, champion. Hey champ. Chump. Who do you want? Someone told me the other day he wants to move up and have two tune-ups. Undefeated champion getting tune-ups.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMan, the biggest duck is the Boots, the Boots is the biggest duck.
