There’s more bad news for Spider-Man<\/a> fans as Beyond the Spider-Verse has received another disappointing update.<\/p>\n

The upcoming threequel was originally scheduled set to hit our screens in March 2024, but was delayed indefinitely<\/a> due to the writers’ strikes. <\/p>\n

Almost two years later, the movie received an official release date from Sony during a panel at CinemaCon. The studio confirmed that Beyond the Spider-Verse<\/a> would be swinging into cinemas on 4 June 2027.<\/p>\n

Despite the long wait, fans were relieved to finally be able to mark their calendars. However, in a disappointing turn of events, the animated movie has yet again been pushed back. <\/p>\n

According to Deadline<\/a>, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse<\/a> will now be opening on 25 June 2027, adding another three weeks to the wait time.<\/p>\n

The third instalment in the franchise will pick up from the events of Across the Spider-Verse<\/a>, with protagonist Miles Morales on the run.<\/p>\n

In the sequel<\/a>, Miles (Shameik Moore) and Gwen Stacy (Hailee Steinfeld), are introduced to a whole new Spider Society, made up of a variety of Spider-People from across the multiverse. <\/p>\n

Miles becomes trapped on a different Earth (Earth-19529), where there is no Spider-Man to help prevent crime. He discovers his uncle Aaron has been terrorising the city, alongside The Prowler – who is revealed to be a parallel version of Miles. <\/p>\n

Gwen assembles the rest of the Spider-People in a bid to save her friend. But will they be able to find Miles in time? <\/p>\n

Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse<\/strong> will be released in cinemas on 25 June, 2027.<\/strong><\/p>\n
