\n Leeds Bradford Airport has celebrated the successful opening of its new terminal extension, a milestone in its ambitious \u00a3100 million expansion project\n <\/p>\n
The airport say the completion of the terminal extension has introduced a modernised arrivals process, including a new baggage reclaim area and an upgraded passport control facility incorporating advanced security technologies, designed to make journeys smoother and more efficient.<\/p>\n
Passengers will enjoy an 83% increase in seating, providing greater comfort alongside uninterrupted views of the runway. In addition, the expanded terminal includes a broader food and drink offering, providing travellers with more variety and choice than ever before.<\/p>\n

\u201cWest Yorkshire is thriving and I am delighted to have a new, welcoming gateway that allows more people to enjoy all our region has to offer.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
LBA\u2019s Vision 2030 strategy sets out a plan which will see \u00a3200m in private investment, create up to 5,500 new jobs and contribute a total of nearly \u00a31 billion to the local economy.<\/p>\n
The first part of this investment was LBA:REGEN. Phase 1 which has delivered the new terminal extension increasing floorspace by 38% and offering 83% more seating. It has also transformed the customer experience of using LBA with the creation of a new arrivals and baggage reclaim area.<\/p>\n
