{"id":279416,"date":"2025-07-21T07:46:15","date_gmt":"2025-07-21T07:46:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/279416\/"},"modified":"2025-07-21T07:46:15","modified_gmt":"2025-07-21T07:46:15","slug":"llais-launches-national-conversation-on-the-future-of-health-and-social-care-in-wales","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/279416\/","title":{"rendered":"Llais launches national conversation on the future of health and social care in Wales"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Llais is launching a bold new national conversation to reimagine health and social care in Wales and they want to hear from you.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With services under increasing pressure, The Health and Social Care We Want invites people across Wales to share what matters most to them.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It\u2019s about creating a fairer and more balanced relationship between people and the services that are important to them, while making it easier for people to understand their rights and responsibilities when it comes to care services.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The project aims to:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li>Make rights and responsibilities around care clearer.<\/li>\n<li>Help people and services understand what to expect from each other.<\/li>\n<li>Empower everyone \u2014 people and professionals \u2014 to shape the future of health and social care.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">People can get involved through an online survey, by contacting Llais directly, or by joining one of many events and group sessions Llais will be holding across Wales.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Health and social care organisations will also be hosting their own conversations to gather feedback.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Alyson Thomas, Chief Executive of Llais said:<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cEvery day, we hear from people who feel lost in the system \u2014 waiting in pain, caring without support, or unsure where to turn.\u201d <\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cBut we also see what\u2019s working: dedicated staff, innovative ideas, and communities coming together. This conversation is about making sure those voices are heard, and shaping a better future.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2018The Health and Social Care We Want\u2019 national conversation will be taking place over the coming months, with engagement activities coming to a close at the end of September. Following this a report containing a summary of the findings will be published, along with a series of recommendations and a proposed framework for making it easier for people to understand their rights and responsibilities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Professor Medwin Hughes, Chair of Llais said: \u201cThis is about more than listening, it\u2019s about action. We want to create a system that reflects people\u2019s real needs and priorities.
