There are vanishingly few 8K games on PS5 Pro, but Pure Pool Pro is aiming to extract every drop of juice from Sony\u2019s supercharged system.<\/p>\n

According to developer Ripstone, the release will run at 60fps in native 8K, with no upscalers like PSSR used. The base PS5, meanwhile, will run at 120fps in native 4K.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s what Ripstone\u2019s George Holland told us:<\/p>\n

\u201cWe know this sounds like a tall claim, but the nature of the pool being fixed around the table, our relatively lightweight proprietary engine, and our initial pre-alpha testing before any optimisations leads us to believe it\u2019s achievable.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The full game will build on Ripstone\u2019s long-running mastery of cue-based games, with \u201cwith hyper-real lighting and frame-perfect physics\u201d.<\/p>\n

In addition to seamless crossplay and a dynamic AI system that \u201cfeels\u201d pressure, there\u2019ll also be a career mode across 8-Ball, 9-Ball, Blackball, and more.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s no release date attached to this one just yet, but a beta test is planned for PC in September. We\u2019ll update when we know more.<\/p>\n
