{"id":279516,"date":"2025-07-21T08:39:45","date_gmt":"2025-07-21T08:39:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/279516\/"},"modified":"2025-07-21T08:39:45","modified_gmt":"2025-07-21T08:39:45","slug":"sheffield-keeley-exploited-for-social-media-likes-says-charity-boss-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/279516\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;Sheffield Keeley&#8217; exploited for social media likes, says charity boss"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Speaking to the BBC, Mr Renshaw said Keeley was a &#8220;hugely vulnerable character&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;She needed alcohol every day, she could not say no to that source.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;The voyeurism is what I&#8217;m most offended by, people filming saying how wonderful she is but they valued her for her entertainment factor, not as a human being. <\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;She needed love and support, not someone taking videos and posting them online.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">In the social media clips, Keeley appears to be under the influence of alcohol while singing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Mr Renshaw added that social media companies &#8220;can be a source of joy&#8221; but should &#8220;take responsibility&#8221; for their content.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;It is obvious that some vulnerabilities are ridiculed, whether that&#8217;s scantily dressed Friday night revellers being filmed inadvertently flashing their underwear, or someone more obviously incapacitated through drink and drugs.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;I also think reportage and ridicule are relatively easy to distinguish.
