A new festival dedicated to cider was unveiled earlier this year, announced to be taking place over nine days across the city this summer. Set to be an Oktoberfest-like event, but dedicated to cider rather than beer, its just days away from getting underway.<\/p>\n

Organised by a team of cider producers and advocates, and with the support of some of Bristol’s best loved venues (some of which offer deals like the four pints for \u00a310 deal you may have read about<\/a>), it’s set to be a new landmark drink festival for the city. So we’ve put together a complete guide to everything you need to know before you visit.<\/p>\n

What is Bristol Cider Week – and when is it?<\/p>\n

Brand new for 2025, Bristol Cider Week<\/a> kicks off on Friday, July 25, and will be a nine-day celebration of ‘the South West’s most famous export’, spanning venues and producers from across Bristol and the region.<\/p>\n

Founded by some of the leading names in the world of cider, it is said to be the first of its kind for the city, bringing with it a city-wide celebration of craft cider and perry to a selection of venues across Bristol. As a cider-loving city, organisers are promising something they describe as being ‘like The Edinburgh Fringe, but for cider’ and ‘the Oktoberfest to cider’ with the event enabling cider drinkers to sample a selection of drinks as well as learn how they’re made.<\/p>\n

Bristol Cider Week takes place in venues across the city (see a full list below) with separate events taking place in various postcodes. Cider City is a city-wide trail taking you around some of the best cider venues Bristol has to offer, while other events like feasts, tastings and opening\/closing parties will take place at the likes of SS Great Britain, Wiper & True and Trinity Centre.<\/p>\n

Being an alcohol-based event, public transport is likely to be your best option for travelling to and from events on the schedule. Buses and taxis are frequent to these areas, so it’s worth planning where you’re headed and which bus route is best suited before you travel.<\/p>\n

How much are tickets?<\/p>\n

Tickets to Bristol Cider Week events are now on sale via bristolciderweek.co.uk<\/a>. Ticket prices vary depending on the event. The opening party event is currently at a final release price of \u00a325 per person, while the Cider Salon event is currently priced at \u00a333.22 for standard entry.<\/p>\n

The aim is to showcase the city’s cider making – and drinking – heritage, as well as cider and perry producers and orchards, and what makes Bristol ‘the cider capital of the world’, organisers say.<\/p>\n

Activities across the nine days will include everything from parties, tastings and dinners, as well as talks, workshops and a city-wide cider trail. The week will finish on Sunday, August 3, and will include a huge opening party on the SS Great Britain<\/a>, which will feature meet-the-maker cider tasting sessions, eight pours of craft cider, fine cheese from local producers, and a chance to explore the iconic landmark after hours.<\/p>\n
