{"id":280853,"date":"2025-07-21T20:45:11","date_gmt":"2025-07-21T20:45:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/280853\/"},"modified":"2025-07-21T20:45:11","modified_gmt":"2025-07-21T20:45:11","slug":"nigerias-gdp-rebased-to-n205trn","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/280853\/","title":{"rendered":"Nigeria\u2019s GDP rebased to N205trn"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nigeria\u2019s Gross Domestic Product, GDP, has been rebased from N80 trillion to N205 trillion.<\/p>\n<p>The development was announced by the Statistician-General of the Federation, Adeyemi Adeniran.<\/p>\n<p>Adeniran stated that the new figure represents a 41.7 per cent increase compared to the previous rebasing exercise conducted in 2014.<\/p>\n<p>The rebasing, which covers the period from 2019 to 2023, uses 2019 as the new base year, according to the Statistician-General.<\/p>\n<p>He noted that the top five performing sectors contributing to the GDP include crop production, trade, real estate, telecommunications, and the oil and gas industry.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Nigeria\u2019s Gross Domestic Product, GDP, has been rebased from N80 trillion to N205 trillion.
