\n\tMany have already tried to figure out what the future holds for Prince William<\/a> and Catherine, Princess of Wales, better known as Kate Middleton\u2019s<\/a>, children, Prince George<\/a>, Princess Charlotte<\/a>, and Prince Louis<\/a>. Will they all be mostly royals, or have a day job like so many of their second-cousins? It\u2019s unclear right now since they\u2019re all still so young, but one former palace member has theorized something unexpected: they might not go to college at all.<\/p>\n

\n\tFormer royal butler Grant Harrold told Study Dog, via the Express<\/a> that he thinks college may not be in the future for the Wales children, despite both of their parents graduating from the University of St. Andrews.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI don\u2019t think it would [be frowned upon] these days [if they didn\u2019t attend college],\u201d he said. \u201cWe may find that George, Charlotte, and Louis<\/a> might not all go to university. They may go straight to somewhere like [Royal Military Academy] Sandhurst.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHowever, he did say that George has more rules placed upon him since he\u2019s third in line, so one future if definite. He added, \u201cIn particular, George, as it is seen as vital for future kings to have had some sort of military training, so you can guarantee that George, whether he likes it or not, will have to go through that military training.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tFor those who don\u2019t know, William and Kate have been together on and off since 2003. Since their nuptials in 2011, they have welcomed three children<\/a> named George, 12, Charlotte, 10<\/a>, and Louis<\/a>, 7.<\/p>\n

\n\tAs we said, William and Kate are University of St. Andrews alum, but Princess Beatrice graduated from Goldsmiths, University of London and Princess Eugenie graduated from Newcastle University. Prince Harry doesn\u2019t have a college degree, but he did complete ten months of officer commissioning training at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.<\/p>\n

\n\tWilliam and Kate are no strangers to breaking the royal rules and traditions; especially for their children. Higher education is strongly encouraged, but not required. While the tradition has held up for decades, the Wales children may not follow it like the rest. Only time will tell, though.<\/p>\n
