Holmes remained undefeated throughout his first 48 bouts, defeating a number of notable opponents such as Leon Spinks, Trevor Berbick and the iconic Muhammad Ali.<\/p>\n<p>Despite facing off with a number of legendary heavyweights, there was one man who Holmes never crossed paths with at any stage of his career, although he famously dubbed this late-great heavyweight as the \u2018biggest phoney\u2019 in boxing.<\/p>\n<p>In <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=kriCH4wBvyM\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">resurfaced Youtube footage<\/a>, Holmes sensationally branded <a href=\"https:\/\/www.secondsout.com\/topic\/george-foreman\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">George Foreman<\/a> as a fraud before claiming that \u2018everyone\u2019 knew that he couldn\u2019t fight.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cEverybody know that George Foreman can\u2019t fight, everybody know that Tommy Morrison kicked his butt, everybody know that Shannon Briggs kicked his butt, everybody knew that he wouldn\u2019t fight me .. George Foreman is the biggest phoney ever.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u2018Big George\u2019 left a remarkable legacy behind, winning the world heavyweight championship on two occasions throughout his storied professional career which stretched across 30-years.
