{"id":281155,"date":"2025-07-21T23:49:39","date_gmt":"2025-07-21T23:49:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/281155\/"},"modified":"2025-07-21T23:49:39","modified_gmt":"2025-07-21T23:49:39","slug":"prh-acquires-nonis-fantasy-series","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/281155\/","title":{"rendered":"PRH acquires Noni\u2019s fantasy series"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\tTuesday, 22 July 2025 \u00a0 Books+Publishing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/booksandpublishing\/\" class=\"entry-social\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> @booksandpublishing<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Penguin Random House (PRH) has announced the publication of the Shadow Reaper, a new fantasy series from YA author Lynette Noni, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booksandpublishing.com.au\/articles\/2024\/11\/01\/261367\/prh-acquires-noni-ya-romance-in-three-book-deal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">previously acquired<\/a> in a three book deal, via Jennifer Azantian from Azantian Literary Agency.<\/p>\n<p>A dark YA fantasy romance, \u2018Shadow Reaper\u00a0follows a young reaper hunter who must conspire with her childhood friend turned mortal enemy and his crew of illegal magic thieves to stop a deadly foe from stealing untold power \u2013 and dooming their world\u2019, said the publisher.<\/p>\n<p>Noni studied journalism, academic writing, and human behaviour at university before writing fiction. She is author of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booksandpublishing.com.au\/articles\/2021\/02\/10\/162423\/the-prison-healer-lynette-noni-penguin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Prison Healer<\/a> trilogy (Penguin), the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booksandpublishing.com.au\/articles\/2014\/10\/02\/31442\/akarnae-the-medoran-chronicles-book-one-lynette-noni-pantera\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Medoran Chronicles<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booksandpublishing.com.au\/articles\/2018\/04\/13\/105219\/whisper-lynette-noni-pantera-press\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Whisper<\/a> duology (Pantera). Her latest book, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booksandpublishing.com.au\/articles\/2025\/03\/11\/267681\/wandering-wild-lynette-noni-penguin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wandering Wild<\/a>, is a contemporary romance.<\/p>\n<p>Discussing her new work, Noni said, \u2018Shadow Reaper is so very special to me \u2013 I feel like every book I\u2019ve written has been leading up to this one, which means I\u2019m both utterly terrified and beyond excited for its release. I absolutely can\u2019t wait to see what magic Penguin has in store this time!\u2019<\/p>\n<p>PRH publisher Rebecca McRitchie said, \u2018It has absolutely everything YA readers love \u2013 romance, magic, highstakes, found family \u2013 and twists aplenty!\u2019<\/p>\n<p>The first book in the Shadow Reaper series will be released in Australia in June 2026.
