With the rising popularity of audiobooks leading Spotify to become the world\u2019s most popular audi streaming platform (not just music), this <a href=\"https:\/\/newsroom.spotify.com\/2025-04-15\/spotify-expands-its-audiobooks-offering-to-listeners-in-germany-austria-switzerland-and-liechtenstein\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">expansion<\/a> to the land of fairytales and storytelling comes as no surprise.<\/p>\n<p>In October 2023, Spotify <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/spotify-premium-can-now-listen-to-audiobooks-no-extra-cost\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">initially launched Audiobooks<\/a> to English-speaking countires, also offering eligibile users a limited number of hours of listening time \u2013 15 hours, to be precise. The feature then <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/audiobooks-on-spotify-expand-to-france-belgium-the-netherlands-and-luxembourg\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">expanded to France<\/a>, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg roughly a year later to premium users. <\/p>\n<p>As of April 15th 2025, German Premium users will have access to 350,000 audiobooks, including titles in German, French, and Italian. This includes Spotify Individual and Duo or Family Plan Managers. As previously mentioned these users will receive 12 hours of Audiobook listening time per month, with a further 10 hours per month available to purchase for \u20ac9.99. As it is in other territories, non-Premium users can pay to access audiobooks individually for the listed price.<\/p>\n<p>Recognising the significance of Audiobooks as a driver for listening,<a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/spotify-audiobooks-grab-25-of-users-driving-growth\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> \u2013 25% of Premium users<\/a> have been engaging with Audiobooks \u2013  Spotify is aiming to enhace the experience for users.  <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p><strong>\u201cWe are turning up the volume on where people are already listening, and getting even more great stories to them with this new catalog and listening experience.
