\n 14-year-old Ella Henrey.<\/p>\n

\n A Harrogate teenager has been selected to represent Great Britain at the European Weightlifting Federation Championships in Madrid.\n <\/p>\n

14-year-old Ella Henrey, a pupil at Queen Ethelburga\u2019s College, was introduced to weightlifting at 10 years old when she first started CrossFit at her local gym.<\/p>\n

It was there she met her coach, Jack Dobson, a previous English and British Champion – and has been training with him ever since.<\/p>\n

Ella is the current British under-15 champion in her weight category and hopes to place in the top 5 at Europeans.<\/p>\n

She said:<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s such an honour to be chosen to represent my country.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m looking forward to watching all my teammates in other categories and cheering them on and enjoying the sunshine in Madrid!\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
