Leeds are trying to sign Feyenoord star Igor Paixao, but convincing him to join will not be easy.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Paixao<\/a> excelled in the Eredivisie last season and is now attracting interest from several sides, including Marseille.<\/p>\n

Leeds<\/a> need more attacking firepower, and while a striker is a priority, signing a winger of Paixao\u2019s quality could really help them in the final third.<\/p>\n

Their last stint in the Premier League saw Raphinha light up Elland Road<\/a>, and Leeds are now using him in their bid to sign Paixao.<\/p>\n

His development came at Leeds, and the Yorkshire Evening Post<\/a> (21 July) have now reported that the Whites are using the example of his growth at Elland Road to convince fellow Brazilian Paixao to join.<\/p>\n

Raphinha\u2019s performances earned him the move to Barcelona, and Paixao could be convinced to join as a result of his legacy.<\/p>\n

Paixao may follow Raphinha\u2019s path<\/a>, and while this means that he could end up joining Leeds, it also means that he may end up leaving within a few years as well.<\/p>\n

The winger is two years older than Raphinha was when he arrived at Leeds, but if he does impress in the Premier League, he could significantly increase his resale value.<\/p>\n

Leeds would obviously prefer it if Paixao succeeded at the club and chose to remain, but if a club of Barcelona\u2019s size comes calling, they could end up making a substantial profit.<\/p>\n

Paixao could play in Europe with Marseille<\/a>, but by offering him a path to greatness like with Raphinha, Leeds could still convince him to join.<\/p>\n
