Firefighters spent hours at the scene<\/p>\n

Crews descended on a Salford<\/a> street as flames soared and smoke billowed into the sky overnight.<\/p>\n

Firefighters spent more than two hours at the scene of a blaze on Moorside Road, in Swinton<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Four fire engines raced out to the scene at around 10.40pm last night (July 21), where a fire had ripped through a commercial building.<\/p>\n

Dramatic images showed large flames erupting from the site alongside thick plumes of heavy smoke.<\/p>\n

A number of people were seen gathering to witness the fire from nearby Moorside railway station.<\/p>\n

Crews brought the fire under control in the early hours of this morning (Tuesday).<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: “At around 10.40pm on Monday, July 21, our crews were called to reports of a fire at a commercial building on Moorside Road, Swinton<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“Four fire engines from Farnworth, Agecroft and Eccles<\/a> stations, as well as the enhanced rescue unit from Leigh, quickly attended the scene. The fire involved several vehicles in the building\u2019s yard.<\/p>\n

“Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire. Fire crews were in attendance for about two and a half hours.”<\/p>\n
