The 38-year-old went missing at the weekend\"RachelRachel Booth<\/p>\n

A body found in a Cheshire lake<\/a> has been formally identified as that of Rachel Booth.<\/p>\n

Police shared the tragic update this morning (July 22), after her body was found at a watersports park in Oakmere on Monday.<\/p>\n

The 38-year-old, from Northwich, was last seen by family in the Barnton area of the town on Saturday.<\/p>\n

She was captured on CCTV in the Sandiway Garage petrol station on the A556 at around 3:50am, with police believing she had then travelled to the Oakmere area.<\/p>\n

Officers confirmed the sad discovery of a body at Wild Shore Delamere yesterday.<\/p>\n

In a further statement issued today, a Cheshire Police spokesperson said: “A body found in a lake in Oakmere has been formally identified as that of Rachel Booth.<\/p>\n

“Rachel’s family continue to be supported by specialist officers from Cheshire Police and they ask for their privacy to be respected at this difficult time.”<\/p>\n

Police dogs assisted with the search for Rachel in Oakmere earlier this week.<\/p>\n

Cheshire Police previously stated there were not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding Rachel’s death.<\/p>\n

A file has been prepared for the coroner, with an inquest likely to follow at a later date.<\/p>\n
