Leeds United have been linked with a range of strikers ahead of their return to the Premier League.<\/strong><\/p>\n The Peacocks have already strengthened in that department, with Lukas Nmecha arriving from VfL Wolfsburg on a free transfer<\/a>.<\/p>\n Daniel Farke also has Joel Piroe, Patrick Bamford, and Mateo Jospeh within his ranks, but various doubts remain over all three.<\/p>\n Leeds have been linked with a move for Callum Wilson<\/a>, who recently left Newcastle United as a free agent.<\/p>\n Wilson reportedly wants to remain in England<\/a> as he searches for a fresh challenge away from St James\u2019 Park.<\/p>\n The 33-year-old ended his five-year stay with the Magpies, having notched 49 goals in 130 games for the North East outfit.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Wilson\u2019s statistics for Newcastle<\/p>\n Newcastle offered the striker a pay-as-you-play extension, but he declined in search of regular playing time.<\/p>\n Leeds are not the only club to be credited with interest, as Manchester United and Everton have both been linked with his services.<\/p>\n However, the Whites appear to be casting their net wide as they search for a new striker, with Fulham\u2019s Rodrigo Muniz also a possibility<\/a>.<\/p>\n Now, Neil Warnock and Ross McCormack have agreed on who the Peacocks should sign as their number nine while speaking on talkSPORT (22 July, 08:55 am).<\/p>\n McCormack<\/a> said: \u201cThe one I think, if I was looking at it in the summer, I would have gone for would be Callum Wilson, to be honest.\u201d<\/p>\n Warnock replied: \u201cYeah, because you know what you\u2019re getting, don\u2019t you?\u201d<\/p>\n McCormack: \u201cExactly, yes, everything about him, he works hard, he gets about the place, he\u2019s a good, good player, and he would probably have that bit between his teeth to say, you know what, I\u2019ll get back to the levels I was at.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Leeds could move for Wilson later in transfer window<\/strong><\/p>\n While the Elland Road<\/a> club are searching for new forwards, they do not need to act desperately in the market.<\/p>\n Although there are doubts about whether Piroe can make the step up, he may well be given a chance over the first few games.<\/p>\n The issue with signing a new striker is the potential outlay, and Leeds, along with the other promoted sides, do not want to overpay.<\/p>\n There is plenty of time left in the transfer window, meaning the Whites could remain patient and see what develops before moving for Wilson<\/a>.<\/p>\n Of course, there is always the risk that another team could snap him up, but he does not seem to be near a move yet.<\/p>\n While Farke has several options within his ranks, he could do with one more for a potential relegation scrap.<\/p>\n![\"Lukas](\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Lukas-Nmecha-Leeds-fi-web-1024x576.png\")
