Rock legend Sir Bob Geldof<\/a> surprised passengers on a Ryanair<\/a> flight from Venice<\/a> to Bristol<\/a>.<\/p>\n Despite having a net worth of\u00a0\u00a3111million ($150m), the Boomtown Rats singer, 73, showed that he was both an eco-warrior and a man of the people as he and his band travelled on a \u00a347 flight to Bristol.<\/p>\n The Irish singer was spotted at Venice\u2019s Marco Polo airport by a fellow passenger who said he spotted the millionaire looking incognito in sunglasses and having a coffee and a croissant in a cafe after security.<\/p>\n They also noted that he was happy to join the long Ryanair<\/a> check-in queue, and didn\u2019t pay for early boarding.<\/p>\n \u2018He didn\u2019t even pay to fast-track security or anything, he didn\u2019t moan or anything \u2013 he was just with everybody else,\u2019 Jay Curtis, a travel content creator, told Bristol Post<\/a>.<\/p>\n The content creator got a selfie and asked Sir Bob what he was doing on a commercial flight, to which he replied: \u2018I don\u2019t spend money on luxury travel\u2019.<\/p>\n \t\t \t\t Sir Bob\u2019s travel journey took place on Friday, July 18, days after the Boomtown Rats performed in Italy at the Pordenone Blues Festival.<\/p>\n The concert was a free event and took place 50 years after Live Aid<\/a>, which was organised by Sir Bob and was the largest charity concert in the history of music.<\/p>\n Earlier this month, the Live Aid 40th Anniversary Gala took place with Midge Ure<\/a> and Sir Brian May<\/a> also attending.<\/p>\n \t\t Sir Bob isn\u2019t the only star to be snapped slumming it with regular people on a commercial flight.<\/p>\n Tom Holland<\/a> was snapped on a number of commercial flights from London to Budapest when he was visiting his then-girlfriend (now fianc\u00e9e) Zendaya<\/a> while she was shooting Dune.<\/p>\n The US Office\u2019s Rainn Wilson has been open about his climate change views and has shared stories about flying on commercial flights.<\/p>\n Robin Williams was also known to fly on commercial flights and reportedly expected no preferential treatment from the staff.<\/p>\n Last year, Will Ferrell made headlines when he flew on an Aer Lingus<\/a> flight from\u00a0London<\/a>\u00a0to Dublin.<\/p>\n \u2018On my London to Dublin @AerLingus flight this evening I was beside Will Ferrell.. in a s**t unreserved seat.
