Known as <strong>The Cat That Slept for a Thousand Years<\/strong>, the installation has been created in collaboration with creative robotics studio Air Giants, it\u2019s a world-first experience unlike anything that the <a href=\"https:\/\/secretmanchester.com\/european-museum-of-the-year\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_self\" class=\"shortcode-outbound-link\" data-has-ga=\"true\" data-ga-type=\"click\" data-label=\"https:\/\/secretmanchester.com\/european-museum-of-the-year\/\" data-action=\"text_cta_1\" data-category=\"click_internal\">European Museum of the Year<\/a> has shown before.<\/p>\n<p>Blending cutting-edge technology with handcrafted artistry, The Cat That Slept for a Thousand Years installation is <strong>Air Giants\u2019 biggest and boldest work to date<\/strong>. This <strong>10-metre-long feline<\/strong> is not only enormous but also full of personality. We can\u2019t wait for people to experience this magical and gentle exhibition in Manchester this summer.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Inspired by the exhibition, Manchester Museum is also offering a <strong>playful augmented reality (AR) trail<\/strong> where the cat\u2019s kittens have escaped and they\u2019re sleeping in spots across the Museum.
