Germany fared best in challenging conditions at Arnhem 2025 European Grand Prix Leg 2<\/a> as three out of the four disciplines were topped in qualifications by archers from the country.<\/p>\n

Mathias Kramer<\/a> [recurve men], Katharina Bauer<\/a> [recurve women] and Katharina Raab<\/a> [compound women] all poled at the TeamNL Centre Papendal whilst the Netherlands’ Stef Willems<\/a> [compound men] is the only non-German top seed at Arnhem.<\/p>\n

Raab’s score was the most impressive.<\/p>\n

The 26 year old archer equalled her personal best of 698 in the 72-arrow qualification round – the highest score of the day – whilst the 19 other compound women archers struggled to get to grips with regular gusts in eastern Netherlands that at point reached shy of 20 kilometres an hour on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

A late comer to the world circuit, Raab has only been shooting internationally for two years but Arnhem is the first time she heads into the elimination rounds – that take place on Wednesday – as the top seed.\u00a0<\/p>\n

This achievement comes a little over a month after she and Paolo Kunsch<\/a> became the maiden World Cup mixed team medallists from Germany in Antalya – the third stage of 2025 World Cup<\/a> – getting silver in T\u00fcrkiye.<\/p>\n

Now, Raab has best positioned herself to climb onto her first ever international podium as an individual with her not needing to shoot an arrow until the quarterfinals.<\/p>\n
