{"id":283352,"date":"2025-07-22T20:01:09","date_gmt":"2025-07-22T20:01:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/283352\/"},"modified":"2025-07-22T20:01:09","modified_gmt":"2025-07-22T20:01:09","slug":"trump-pulls-united-states-out-of-unesco-citing-israel-bias","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/283352\/","title":{"rendered":"Trump Pulls United States Out of UNESCO, Citing Israel Bias"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\">The US government has announced that it is withdrawing from UNESCO, citing concerns over what it perceives as an anti-Israel bias and the promotion of divisive causes.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eleconomista.com.mx\/internacionales\/estados-unidos-vuelve-abandonar-unesco-son-causas-salida-20250722-769227.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">UNESCO Director General Audrey Azoulay<\/a> expressed regret over the decision, though she noted it was not unexpected. \u201cI deeply regret President Donald Trump\u2019s decision to withdraw the United States once again from UNESCO,\u201d she said. \u201cWhile unfortunate, this announcement had been anticipated, and UNESCO has prepared for it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Trump made similar moves during his first term, pulling the United States out of the World Health Organization (WHO), the UN Human Rights Council, the Paris Climate Accord, and the Iran nuclear deal. Former President Joe Biden reversed many of those decisions after taking office in 2021, rejoining UNESCO, WHO, and the climate agreement.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Now, with Trump back in office, the United States is once again stepping away from global institutions.
