Sheffield Wednesday\u2019s disastrous summer shows no signs of coming to an end.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kieran Maguire has explained why the EFL are being \u2018harsh\u2019 with the Owls<\/a>, as the club continues to work under a three-window embargo.<\/p>\n

Players have started to depart in recent weeks, with Djeidi Gassama\u2019s \u00a32.2m move to Rangers<\/a> a source of huge frustration, while Michael Smith and Josh Windass have both left as free agents<\/a>.<\/p>\n

With the club unable to spend money on players from other sides, free agents will be relied on, but there has been an alarming number of those who were already at Sheffield Wednesday<\/a> moving on this summer.<\/p>\n

Sheffield Wednesday fans express concern at the ensuing fire sale<\/p>\n

A bid to purchase the Owls collapsed last week<\/a>, and supporters will be right to worry as to whether the club will be rescued in the immediate future.<\/p>\n

As players continue to leave, one supporters\u2019 podcast has raised a fear that Dejphon Chansiri will not sell the club at all.<\/p>\n

The Owls are entering the unknown in 2025\/26<\/p>\n

With Danny Rohl set to leave<\/a>, this is very much a season of the unknown for Sheffield Wednesday and while carnage has ensued off the pitch, we are yet to get a clear indication of what will happen on it.<\/p>\n

The Owls have picked up a win in pre-season against York City<\/a>, but with just over two weeks to go until the Championship gets underway, they are extremely under-prepared compared to other sides.<\/p>\n

Yan Valery is a wanted man at this moment in time<\/a>, with the defender a favourite of Rohl. If they lose him as well, then relegation is surely the only end result by the time May comes around. However, right now, supporters will be focused on whether Sheffield Wednesday have a future at all.<\/p>\n

Barry Bannan is training with the team<\/a>, but he is yet to sign a new deal and there are plenty of questions that need to be answered in the next fortnight and beyond.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
