The agreement has most likely come about as a result of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p class=\"related\">Related: <a href=\"https:\/\/orbitaltoday.com\/2025\/07\/23\/exomars-rover-takes-step-forward-as-record-breaking-parachute-clears-key-test\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Watch Europe\u2019s Record-Breaking Mars Parachute Plunge from the Edge of Space [VIDEO]<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The declaration\u2019s content<\/p>\n<p>The declaration has listed a few key priorities to boost cooperation between Norway and Germany:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Increase maritime cooperation by having an operational partnership in the North Sea and North Atlantic (has already been agreed on).<\/li>\n<li>Develop space technologies to improve alertness of any threats in the North Atlantic and allow independent European access to space.<\/li>\n<li>Support each other\u2019s NATO land defence plans and grow cooperation on land, as their maritime cooperation.<\/li>\n<li>Both countries\u2019 defense ministers are working on a bilateral defense agreement that will give Norway &amp; Germany a long-term defense partnership.<\/li>\n<li>The German and Norwegian governments ordered their industry and energy ministers to restart talks aimed at enhancing resilience and competitiveness. Both countries are considering partnership in these fields: digitalization, maritime infrastructure, critical minerals, economic security, decarbonization, climate efforts, including CCS and hydrogen, and energy supply and security<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Daniel Metzler, CEO and Co-founder of <a href=\"https:\/\/orbitaltoday.com\/2025\/03\/31\/isar-aerospace-spectrum-rocket-crashes-few-seconds-after-take-off-video\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Isar Aerospace<\/a>, said, \u201cA nation\u2019s ability to defend itself starts with situational awareness from space.
