FEARS are growing that the world’s deadliest tribe is in possession of a can of Coke, after an idiotic tourist left it on their island as a peace offering. <\/p>\n

But the cops have no way of checking if the killer Coke can is still there without risking being speared to death<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Mykhailo Viktorovych Polyakov, 24, was\u00a0arrested after leaving a can of Coke and a coconut<\/a>\u00a0for the tribe on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Police<\/a> sources told The Sun the can of Coke has not yet been recovered.<\/p>\n

And it doesn’t look like it will be recovered any time soon as the police cannot visit the forbidden island<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Contacting isolated tribes can be extremely dangerous due to their lack of immunity to common diseases in the outside world.<\/p>\n

And it could even risk leading to devastating epidemics by transmitting a new kind of bug from them to the rest of the planet.<\/p>\n

Polyakov’s reckless actions have been slammed for putting the safety of the Sentilese people at risk.<\/p>\n

The director of indigenous rights group Survival International, Caroline Pearce, said: \u201cIt beggars belief that someone could be that reckless and idiotic.<\/p>\n

“This person\u2019s actions not only endangered his own life, they put the lives of the entire Sentinelese tribe at risk.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s very well known by now that uncontacted peoples have no immunity to common outside diseases like flu or measles, which could completely wipe them out.\u201d<\/p>\n

Polyakov set off on the irresponsible mission at 1am on Saturday from Kurma Dera Beach – with the killer can in hand.<\/p>\n

The US tourist travelled in an inflatable dingy complete with a make-shift motor and GPS.<\/p>\n

He reached the northeastern shore of the island nine hours later, at around 10am.<\/p>\n

From here, he scanned the area using binoculars.<\/p>\n

He then landed on the island for about five minutes, giving him just enough time to deliver his bizarre offerings.<\/p>\n

The YouTuber also collected sand samples and recorded a video on his GoPro before leaving on his boat.<\/p>\n

Go Pro footage apparently depicted him “claiming unofficial representation of the US”.<\/p>\n

Polyakov remained near the island for another hour, blowing a whistle repeatedly in a crazed attempt to attract attention, but no one responded.<\/p>\n

He began his return journey at 1pm, and returned to Kurma Dera Beach by 7pm where he was spotted by local fisherman who alerted the cops.<\/p>\n

The police arrested Polyakov<\/a> and seized his binoculars, Go Pro and life jacket, among other items in his room at The Andaman Sunset View hotel.<\/p>\n

Police sources told The Sun that they are currently examining the GoPro footage so cannot share it.<\/p>\n

Polyakov regularly posts travel videos on his\u00a0YouTube<\/a>\u00a0channel to his 400 subscribers.<\/p>\n

A recent trip to Afghanistan saw him posing with the Taliban and their menacing machinery. <\/p>\n

The travel YouTuber was reportedly inspired by the last visitor to the island – John Allen Chau<\/a>. <\/p>\n

The\u00a026-year-old was killed in a hail of arrows<\/a>\u00a0after venturing onto the remote island unannounced.<\/p>\n

The Christian missionary visited the isle after reportedly feeling called by God to share his beliefs with the tribe.<\/p>\n

Efforts to recover John’s body were abandoned<\/a>\u00a0over fears of further antagonising the remote Sentinelese.<\/p>\n
