A man has been taken to hospital following a \u201cdisturbance\u201d that brought a significant police presence to Glasgow\u2019s<\/a> West End.<\/p>\n

Emergency services raced to Hyndland Street in Partick around 4.45pm on Tuesday, July 22. The street was shut in one direction, with nearby Gardner Street also sealed off as officers<\/a> dealt with the incident.<\/p>\n

A 49-year-old man was taken to hospital,<\/a> with the extent of his injuries currently unknown. Police confirmed enquiries into the incident remain ongoing.<\/p>\n

A local resident described seeing a \u201chuge police presence\u201d descend on the busy street, with multiple emergency vehicles at the scene.<\/p>\n

They told Glasgow Live<\/a>: \u201cThere’s a huge police presence on Hyndland Street in Partick, next to the Quarter Gill, and the road is closed off at Dumbarton Road.<\/p>\n

“I counted six police cars and vans and three ambulances, and there’s a cop standing guard at one close. The area is really busy at the moment so drivers will probably want to avoid it.<\/p>\n

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4.45pm on Tuesday, 22 July, 2025, officers received a report of a disturbance on Hyndland Street, Glasgow.<\/p>\n

“A 49-year-old man was taken to hospital.
