{"id":283723,"date":"2025-07-22T23:27:11","date_gmt":"2025-07-22T23:27:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/283723\/"},"modified":"2025-07-22T23:27:11","modified_gmt":"2025-07-22T23:27:11","slug":"roy-jones-jr-says-people-dont-understand-how-good-one-current-world-champion-is","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/283723\/","title":{"rendered":"Roy Jones Jr Says &#8216;People Don&#8217;t Understand&#8217; How Good One Current World Champion Is"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The legendary <a href=\"https:\/\/www.secondsout.com\/topic\/roy-jones-jr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Roy Jones Jr<\/a> has praised an unbeaten superstar who continues to take the sport by storm.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/sports\/boxing\/columns\/story?columnist=graham_tim&amp;id=1800132\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jones himself is often regarded as being one of the greatest fighters of all time<\/a>, proving his credentials throughout the course of his professional career which began way back in 1989.<\/p>\n<p>The 56-year-old from Pensacola, Florida won world titles across four weight classes, with the majority of his success coming during the 1990s where he defeated the likes of James Toney, Mike McCallum and Bernard Hopkins.<\/p>\n<p>Perhaps the most impressive moment of his career came in 2003 when he made the jump up to heavyweight where he dethroned WBA world champion John Ruiz, winning via unanimous decision at the Thomas &amp; Mack Center in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n<p>Despite teasing a comeback, Jones is currently best known for his commentary on today\u2019s scene. Speaking on <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/ZA52M7E2SkE?si=LIu-FJ9MeD3Qk4Fm&amp;t=1464\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ring Champs with Ak &amp; Barak<\/a>, he was asked to name the current fighters that he enjoys watching, and he gave plaudits to several world champions including Jaron \u2018Boots\u2019 Ennis, as he claims \u2018people don\u2019t understand\u2019 how good the 28-year-old is.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cTerence Crawford. Terence Crawford\u2019s one of my favourites to watch now. I love Terence Crawford and I like to watch Inoue too, Inoue can fight. You know who else I like to watch though?
