The legendary Roy Jones Jr<\/a> has praised an unbeaten superstar who continues to take the sport by storm.<\/p>\n

Jones himself is often regarded as being one of the greatest fighters of all time<\/a>, proving his credentials throughout the course of his professional career which began way back in 1989.<\/p>\n

The 56-year-old from Pensacola, Florida won world titles across four weight classes, with the majority of his success coming during the 1990s where he defeated the likes of James Toney, Mike McCallum and Bernard Hopkins.<\/p>\n

Perhaps the most impressive moment of his career came in 2003 when he made the jump up to heavyweight where he dethroned WBA world champion John Ruiz, winning via unanimous decision at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n

Despite teasing a comeback, Jones is currently best known for his commentary on today\u2019s scene. Speaking on Ring Champs with Ak & Barak<\/a>, he was asked to name the current fighters that he enjoys watching, and he gave plaudits to several world champions including Jaron \u2018Boots\u2019 Ennis, as he claims \u2018people don\u2019t understand\u2019 how good the 28-year-old is.<\/p>\n

Asked to predict a fight between Crawford and Ennis, something that will now likely never happen but had potential when both were at welterweight, Jones said he would rather not as he knows both well.<\/p>\n

\u2018Boots\u2019 Ennis had reigned as the unified WBA and IBF unified world welterweight champion since he defeated Lithuania\u2019s Eimantas Stanionis earlier this year, although it has now been confirmed that the unbeaten American will make the move up to light-middleweight where he is pursuing a showdown with WBC interim world champion Vergil Ortiz Jr after an initial fight at the weight.<\/a><\/p>\n
