The Black Sabbath frontman and Birmingham legend passed away surrounded by his family<\/p>\n

Birmingham legend Ozzy Osbourne has died aged 76, his family have announced.<\/p>\n

The Black Sabbath frontman was with his family for his final moments.<\/p>\n

They shared that he had passed away this morning in an emotional statement to the musical hero who performed his final show with the band in his homeland Birmingham<\/a> just weeks ago.<\/p>\n

A statement from his family said: \u201cIt is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time. Sharon<\/a>, Jack, Kelly, Aimee and Louis.\u201d<\/p>\n

A cause of death has not yet been revealed.<\/p>\n

Ozzy’s <\/a>Instagram page featured a poignant last post showing Ozzy’s dressing room at Aston Villa Stadium where the band played on July 5.<\/p>\n

The sign in the corridor outside showed a photo of the band in younger years and the tours name, ‘Back to the Beginning’.<\/p>\n

Fans rushed to pay tribute to the rock legend. One wrote: “Rest in peace Ozzy,” while another echoed: “Rest in Peace to one of the greatest legends to ever live.”<\/p>\n

Another fan added: “Thank you for all you contributed to this world Ozzy. We love you!”<\/p>\n

Ozzy had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s, a neurodegenerative disorder, which he revealed in January 2020.<\/p>\n

He discovered he had the condition after a fall at his Los Angeles home, which led to surgery and aggravated a pre-existing spinal injury.<\/p>\n
