The owners behind a popular Irish bar and store in Greater Manchester have confirmed they will be opening a new location very soon.<\/p>\n

Kennedy\u2019s Irish Bar<\/a>, in the heart of Altrincham<\/a> market town on Greenwood Street, has been a mainstay since 2021 and has gone on to become a popular spot for live music, traditional vibes and for its Guinness.<\/p>\n

In September last year, the neighbouring space next to the bar became home to The Irish Deli<\/a>, which is run by the same team behind Kennedy\u2019s and sells a variety of Irish produce, including fresh cheese, Tayto crisps, White Pudding, and Barry\u2019s Tea.<\/p>\n

Not content with opening an Irish bar and a deli in Altrincham, the owners have now announced that they will be opening in south Manchester this summer. Kennedy\u2019s Didsbury<\/a> will take over the former CAU and Zizzi spot on Wilmslow Road.<\/p>\n

Planning documents for the venue have suggested the site will \u2018have a traditional theme\u2019 akin to its Altrincham venue, which will be reflected in the \u2018internal and external decoration and design\u2019. Many will also know the Didsbury venue as the former Clock Tower pub.<\/p>\n

Sharing more details on the reason for expanding, the Kennedy\u2019s team posted on social media: \u201cOver four years ago, we opened the doors to Kennedy\u2019s Irish Bar in the heart of Altrincham. From day one, the support from the local community was incredible \u2014 and it\u2019s that energy that\u2019s helped shape who we are today.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt didn\u2019t take long before we realised we had even more to offer. Just a year in, we expanded into next door \u2014 more space, more people, more Guinness, and of course, more good times!<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have had amazing support from the Irish community in Manchester and beyond. We truly appreciate everyone who has taken the time to visit the bar week in, week out.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut we always knew Altrincham was just the beginning. For the past couple of years, we\u2019ve been on the lookout for our next home \u2014 a decision we didn\u2019t take lightly. We explored plenty of locations, but we knew we had to wait for the one that felt right.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bosses added that opening a new venue in Didsbury \u2018just made sense\u2019, and they are looking forward to bringing their \u2018top-notch Guinness\u2019 to the area later this year.<\/p>\n

\u201cInstantly, it just made sense,\u201d the post said of Didsbury. \u201cThe location, the energy, the community \u2014 we could see the potential straight away.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re buzzing to finally share that Kennedy\u2019s Didsbury is on its way \u2014 and we can\u2019t wait to bring our signature atmosphere, music, and of course, top-notch Guinness to the village.\u201d<\/p>\n

The news was enough to excite Didsbury residents as well as many Kennedy\u2019s regulars. One person commented: \u201cDidsbury needs this.” Another wrote: “When is kennedys didsbury opening? Can’t wait.”<\/p>\n

One other wrote: “It’s going to be incredible.” One more said: “Can’t wait!”<\/p>\n
