The exhibition, called &#8216;Treasure: History Unearthed&#8217;, will showcase a range of historic artefacts, including Bronze Age gold, Viking Silver and hoards of coins which were uncovered as part of historic treasure hauls.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Set to be showcased at the <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/museums\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">National Museum Liverpool<\/a> on the city&#8217;s waterfront, the exhibition will be open to the public in seven weeks. Guess will be able to explore the exhibition from Saturday, September 13 to Sunday, March 29. The exhibition is said to feature \u201cthe <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/nostalgia\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">largest collection of archaeological treasure ever shown in the region<\/a>\u201d, with finds from the North West and Wales.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Highlights will include key items from several national and regional institutions including the British Museum, Amgueddfa Cymru &#8211; Museum Wales and Flintshire Museum Collections. With beautiful jewellery accidentally lost and vast hoards that were buried on purpose, the displays will uncover 5,000 years of stories.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Curator Vanessa Oakden said: &#8220;We\u2019re thrilled to bring together this extraordinary collection of objects together for the first time, highlighting the fascinating stories behind them.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/22262_display.jpg\" alt=\"A Rossett lock ring damaged and crumpled.\" loading=\"lazy\"  \/>A Rossett lock ring damaged and crumpled.(Image: \u00a9Wrexham County Borough Museum)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8220;What makes this even more meaningful is that the exhibition is presented in both English and Welsh, making it more inclusive and accessible to visitors. Treasures: History Unearthed is a special moment for National Museums Liverpool and for the North West of England.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8220;It highlights the significant work being done through the Portable Antiquities Scheme and highlights why the Treasure Act is vital for both protecting and sharing heritage.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The exhibition is curated by National Museums Liverpool\u2019s <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolmuseums.org.uk\/archaeology\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">archaeology<\/a> team, with the stories being told in both English and Welsh. Then, in the evening, the Museum hosts a special Pride edition of NML Xtra.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Hosted by Drag Race UK\u2019s Sister Sister, the NML Xtra promises to be filled with performances, including Naya Thorn, Liverpool&#8217;s Rainbow Chorus, and House of Suarez. Tickets cost \u00a310 and the event starts at 7 pm<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">On Saturday, July 27, the Museum of Liverpool will host a family-friendly festival that \u201ccelebrates love in all its forms\u201d. Activities include performances, craft sessions and storytelling.
