Luis Diaz<\/a> is looking to leave Liverpool this summer, and with Bayern Munich<\/a> expected to table a new offer, he is claimed to have asked the club to accept.<\/b><\/p>\n

Diaz has already been subject of unsuccessful advances from both Bayern and Barcelona<\/a> this summer, with Liverpool adamant their No. 7 is not for sale.<\/p>\n

But with the 28-year-old making it clear he wishes to pursue other financial opportunities elsewhere there has been a shift in the club\u2019s stance.<\/p>\n

That is according to a report from BILD<\/a> this week, with it claimed that Liverpool are now \u201cwilling to negotiate\u201d as Bayern prepare a new offer.<\/p>\n

Having seen a bid of \u20ac67 million (\u00a358m) turned down earlier this month, Bayern are said to be ready to offer \u20ac75 million (\u00a365m).<\/p>\n

According to Colombian journalist Pipe Sierra \u2013 considered a reliable source when it comes to Diaz \u2013 the forward has \u201crequested that Liverpool, if they are not going to renew his contract (as promised in May), accept the offer.\u201d<\/p>\n

Writing on X<\/a>, Sierra added: \u201cThe Colombian winger wants to improve his conditions and seize the opportunity with the German team.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Bayern\u2019s proposed offer is just shy of the \u20ac80 million fee reports in Spain claimed was part of a \u2018gentleman\u2019s agreement\u2019 between Diaz and Liverpool to facilitate a transfer, it would represent a significant profit for the club.<\/p>\n

Not only would it mean recouping the \u00a350 million paid to Porto in 2022, but with a further boost to the coffers and, crucially, their accounts to align with the Premier League<\/a>\u2018s PSR restrictions.<\/p>\n

However, Liverpool would clearly need to weigh that against the prospect of losing a crucial part of Arne Slot<\/a>\u2018s attack.<\/p>\n

Diaz would need an elite replacement<\/p>\n

Diaz made 50 appearances for the Reds last season, starting 38 games, clocking the seventh-most minutes in the squad and providing 17 goals and five assists.<\/p>\n

With Diogo Jota<\/a>\u2018s passing and expected departures of both Darwin Nunez<\/a> and Federico Chiesa<\/a>, the club may see it as a gamble to allow their primary No. 9 option of the campaign just gone to also move on.<\/p>\n

Clearly, if Diaz leaves, Liverpool would need a replacement, and both Real Madrid<\/a>\u2018s Rodrygo and Lyon\u2019s Malick Fofana have been touted as options.<\/p>\n

It also raises the possibility of an outrageous move for Newcastle<\/a>\u2018s Alexander Isak to go along with the imminent arrival of \u00a379 million Hugo Ekitike<\/a> from Eintracht Frankfurt.<\/p>\n
