Norwich City have enjoyed one of the most impressive summer transfer windows in the Championship, and are now set for another major coup.<\/strong><\/p>\n

After a substandard mid-table finish in the 2024\/25 Championship<\/a> season, Norwich City<\/a> have shown they mean business this summer.<\/p>\n

Norwich appointed Liam Manning<\/a> earlier in the summer, seeing the head coach who masterminded Bristol City\u2019s top-six finish become Johannes Hoff Thorup\u2019s permanent replacement.<\/p>\n

Regarding incomings, the Canaries hierarchy have completed some exceptional business within the summer transfer window so far, with the most expensive signing coming after Norwich signed Mathias Kvistgaarden<\/a> in a \u00a36.9m deal.<\/p>\n

Now, Norwich are reportedly \u201cpoised\u201d to complete another coup, with the free signing of a \u201cfantastic\u201d former Premier League star.<\/p>\n

Norwich have made a \u201cstatement of intent\u201d<\/a> with the club\u2019s summer transfer window business, with several impressive signings in key areas for Manning.<\/p>\n

Recruits have been sought across the field this summer, in an attempt to pad the Norwich squad out with quality to mitigate two high-profile departures.<\/p>\n

Josh Sargent is set to join Wolfsburg<\/a> this summer, following his former teammate out of the Carrow Road exit door, after Borja Sainz left Norwich for Porto<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Despite the sting of losing two key figures, the Canaries are set to continue their sensible summer business with the imminent arrival of former Crystal Palace full-back Jeffrey Schlupp, who spent last season on loan at Celtic.<\/p>\n

Journalist Pete O\u2019Rourke revealed on X<\/a>: \u201cNorwich are poised to sign former Crystal Palace star Jeffrey Schlupp on a free transfer.\u201d<\/p>\n

West Brom, Sheffield United and Hull wanted Schlupp<\/a>, but now Norwich have beaten their second tier rivals to the Ghanaian international\u2019s signature, in another major coup for the Canaries.<\/p>\n

With loanee Callum Doyle returning to Manchester City, and Kenny McLean ageing, the Canaries needed to make a statement signing at left-back.<\/p>\n

Schlupp\u2019s Premier League battle scars, and Champions League experience with Celtic last season, will be a monumental benefit to Manning\u2019s new look Norwich squad for the 2025\/26 Championship campaign<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Palace boss Oliver Glasner labelled Schlupp as \u201cfantastic\u201d to BBC Sport<\/a> after his stunning strike against Fulham in April 2024, in a moment which showcased that the Ghanaian is the perfect modern full-back.<\/p>\n
