Leeds United are reportedly making their move to convince Feyenoord winger Igor Paixao to join this summer.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 25-year-old is on the back of an impressive season in The Netherlands, scoring 18 goals and providing 19 assists in 47 games in all competitions.<\/p>\n

Predominantly a left winger, the Brazilian is capable of playing as a number 10 as well as on the right flank.<\/p>\n

Leeds United are extremely keen on signing Paixao<\/a> this summer, but have to fend off competition from Marseille. <\/p>\n

According to Graham Smyth in the Yorkshire Evening Post<\/a> (23 July), the Whites even made a proposal to secure his services.<\/p>\n

The representatives of the 25-year-old were impressed with the presentation and proposal, and a move to the Premier League is of interest to him.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The Elland Road<\/a> outfit have also been reassured that no deal is close between Marseille and Feyenoord and that they still stand a chance to complete the transfer. <\/p>\n

It\u2019s good to see Leeds United<\/a> taking the pursuit of Paixao seriously as he could be an important signing.<\/p>\n

Marseille are keen and he\u2019s surely aware of that and they\u2019re even taking some efforts to secure his services.<\/p>\n

However, the fact that his representatives were impressed with the Whites\u2019 proposal suggests that the 25-year-old may fancy a Premier League move as well.<\/p>\n

The Raphinha comparison is an obvious one, but it\u2019s certainly something Paixao should consider, as it\u2019s a similar trajectory and he then went on to achieve big things at Barcelona and he\u2019s also in contention for the Ballon d\u2019Or.<\/p>\n

The pursuit of the Brazilian also shows ambition from the owners<\/a> as they\u2019re willing to back their manager in the transfer window in order to avoid relegation next season.<\/p>\n
