\n Council officials have issued a plea for help to find the person responsible for fly-tipping the\u00a0rubbish on the Ridgeway.\n<\/p>\n

\n It was discovered this morning (Wednesday, July 23), just off the B4000 near Ashbury.\n<\/p>\n

\n Household items were dumped in two separate piles about 150 metres apart.\n<\/p>\n

\n The items in both tips were connected as one pile contained items belonging to a children’s trampoline, and the second fly tip had the poles of the trampoline, amongst other items.\n<\/p>\n

\n A spokesperson for Vale of White Horse District Council<\/a> said: “We need your help to find the person responsible for fly-tipping this rubbish on the Ridgeway.\n<\/p>\n

\n “If you know who may be responsible for this rubbish, or where it came from, please contact envirocrime@southandvale.gov.uk or 01235 422146.\n<\/p>\n

\n “Thank you.”\n<\/p>\n

\n The update was shared on Facebook by Vale of White Horse District Council alongside two photographs of the rubbish from the scene near Ashbury.\n<\/p>\n

\n Responding to a comment on social media about the incident, the council spokesperson added: “Everything dumped on the Ridgeway in this fly-tip could have been taken to the tip for free.\n<\/p>\n

\n “And the recycling centre at Stanford in the Vale is only 15 minutes away.\n<\/p>\n

\n “Please note that the recycling centres are run by the county council.\n<\/p>\n

\n “At the district council, we are responsible for kerbside waste collections.”\n<\/p>\n
