{"id":287115,"date":"2025-07-24T05:33:10","date_gmt":"2025-07-24T05:33:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/287115\/"},"modified":"2025-07-24T05:33:10","modified_gmt":"2025-07-24T05:33:10","slug":"chick-fil-a-open-in-northern-ireland-set-for-stores-in-three-more-u-k-cities","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/287115\/","title":{"rendered":"Chick-fil-A Open in Northern Ireland, Set for Stores in Three More U.K. Cities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Chick-fil-A <\/strong>has begun its<strong> United Kingdom<\/strong> expansion in earnest, opening two stores in <strong>Northern Ireland<\/strong> in March to jumpstart <a href=\"https:\/\/www.globalatlanta.com\/chick-fil-a-headed-to-the-u-k\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">its $100 million expansion in the country.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Belfast<\/strong> restaurants are located within <strong>Applegreen<\/strong> travel plazas, capitalizing on the Atlanta-based chicken chain\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.applegreen.com\/brands\/chick-fil-a\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">relationship with the <strong>Ireland<\/strong>-based group<\/a> in the United States, where it operates 14 Chick-fil-As at roadside refueling stations.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Applegreen <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rte.ie\/news\/business\/2025\/0116\/1491191-applegreen-in-northern-ireland\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">announced<\/a> in January that it had reached a licensing arrangement with Chick-fil-A, whose success across 3,000 plus domestic stores has relied on local \u201cowner-operators\u201d who put down about $10,000. The company says more than 80 percent of its franchisees operate a single store.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Chick-fil-A has already <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chick-fil-a.com\/press-room\/2024\/09\/chick-fil-a-announces-first-uk-restaurant-locations\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">telegraphed<\/a> that its next three U.K. stores, part of a 10-year expansion plan, will be situated in <strong>England<\/strong>, bringing the brand\u2019s signature chicken sandwiches to <strong>Leeds<\/strong>, <strong>Liverpool<\/strong> and <strong>London<\/strong>. The first five stores are set to create a combined 400 jobs, with each location donating \u00a325,000 to a local nonprofit to fight hunger. <a href=\"https:\/\/cfafranchise.avature.net\/Franchising\/OpportunityDetail?folderId=4948\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Learn about UK franchising<\/a><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s part of a steady international expansion the company began in 2023, starting with <strong>Canada<\/strong>, followed by the U.K. announcement in 2024. The first <strong>Singapore<\/strong> location, the brand\u2019s entree into <strong>Asia<\/strong>, is planned for late 2025.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In January, Chick-fil-A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chick-fil-a.com\/press-room\/announcing-expansion-in-british-columbia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">announced<\/a> its intent to enter <strong>British Columbia<\/strong> on Canada\u2019s western coast, with five to seven restaurants planned by 2030.
