Egan Bernal finished in the Top 10 overall of Volta a Catalunya (7th place), and in his big goal of the year, the Giro d’Italia, he repeated that 7th place after a race filled with attacks from the 28-year-old’s side. Although he wasn’t rewarded with neither inidividual success, nor a final podium, Bernal left a strong impression in Italy.<\/p>\n
For that reason, Bernal is expected to be one of the favorites to win the Vuelta a Burgos. He will be accompanied by some of INEOS’ most reliable men in the mountains; Spaniards Omar Fraile<\/a>, \u00d3scar Rodr\u00edguez<\/a> and Jonathan Castroviejo<\/a>. Also riding for INEOS Grenadiers at the Vuelta a Burgos will be Bernal’s traditional partner in crime Brandon Rivera<\/a>, and young talent Andrew August<\/a>.
