Meghan Markle<\/a> and Prince Harry<\/a>‘s multi-year Netflix deal won’t be renewed<\/a>, but that doesn’t mean we’ve seen the last of the Duke and Duchess on the streaming service.\n<\/p>\n On July 23, The Sun<\/a> reported that the couple’s five-year, $100 million Netflix deal will not be renewed when it expires this September.\n<\/p>\n A Hollywood insider confirmed to PEOPLE that the multi-year production agreement won\u2019t be extended, reflecting a broader shift in Netflix\u2019s business strategy.\n<\/p>\n Netflix has been moving away from large, multi-project agreements like this one. A similar evolution happened with former President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama\u2019s Higher Ground production company, whose initial multi-year deal transitioned into a first-look agreement.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n PEOPLE reached out to representatives for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and Netflix for comment.\n<\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s no animosity from either side,\u201d a source told The Sun. \u201cThings have just run their course.\u201d\n<\/p>\n Despite this, season two of Meghan\u2019s lifestyle series, With Love, Meghan<\/a>, has already been filmed and is set to premiere this fall. This success was followed by the launch of With Love, Meghan, which premiered its first season in March.\n<\/p>\n Within a week of release, With Love, Meghan ranked tenth on Netflix\u2019s global Top 10 Shows Overview<\/a>, seventh in the UK, and tenth in the US, amassing 2.6 million views and 12.6 million hours watched. Chrissy Teigen<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Jos\u00e9 Andr\u00e9s<\/a> were the first to be announced earlier this year.\n<\/p>\n “We love Jos\u00e9 so much,” Meghan said as she\u00a0revealed the upcoming appearance<\/a>\u00a0at the TIME100 Summit in April. “I’ve been fortunate to have the people that I want on the show\u2026 I’ve been really lucky.
