Osgood Perkins has been hard at work. Last year he brought us what could arguably be Nicolas Cage\u2019s freakiest performance yet in Longlegs<\/a>, and earlier this year he delivered the harpoon-shooting, side-splitting (literally) horror-comedy The Monkey<\/a>. Now, the director looks to be pivoting back to darker horror territory, as the trailer for his latest flick, Keeper, has just hit the web \u2014 and you can watch it below:<\/p>\n

That\u2019s one cryptic teaser, seemingly more in line with the weird and flat-out incredible marketing campaign for Perkins’ first Neon horror joint, Longlegs. The teaser gives us a mix of ominous figures reacting directly to the camera \u2014 one of the more prominent being Christin Park, who appears in multiple shots, reacting to the camera as if it\u2019s a person. Anyone else getting flashbacks to Elijah Wood\u2019s POV horror Maniac<\/a>?<\/p>\n

Plot details for this one are sparse. So far, all we know is that the film follows a woman who becomes isolated in a secluded cabin and must fend off an unspeakable evil. What exactly that evil is remains to be seen \u2014 though we do catch a glimpse of supposed lead Tatiana Maslany screaming into the void as light breaks through, suggesting the kind of distress and messed-up horror we might be in for. Alongside Maslany and Park, the film also stars Rossif Sutherland, Birkett Turton and Erin Boyes. Keeper hits UK cinemas on 14 November \u2014 and we can\u2019t wait for another gloriously weird Perkins film to grace our screens.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Osgood Perkins has been hard at work.
