Prince Harry is on the verge of reconciling with his father King Charles<\/a>, but that doesn\u2019t mean everyone is onboard<\/a> and there are some members of the Royal Family<\/a> who will never forgive Harry for his actions, says one royal expert.<\/p>\n

When Harry resigned from his royal duties and moved to the US with his wife Meghan Markle and their son Archie, he reportedly broke his grandmother<\/a>\u2019s heart, which appears to be the worst of his misdeeds<\/a>, depending on who you ask.<\/p>\n

According to Hilary Fordwich, who spoke to Fox News, Harry’s lack of awareness — how his actions would impact Queen Elizabeth II<\/a> — is the source of the problem and the reason Harry and Meghan<\/a> will not make their way back into the fold.<\/p>\n

Fordwich said: \u201cThis is the root of the massive rift between Harry and Meghan and the rest of the royal family.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added: \u201cThe pain they caused in the queen\u2019s waning years can\u2019t ever be repaired\u2026 The family nor the nation will never forget it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Harry put in a request to the Queen that he and his wife, Meghan Markle, pull back on their royal responsibilities and work part-time, but the request was denied.<\/p>\n

At the time of their request, Harry\u2019s grandfather, the late Prince Philip, exclaimed<\/a>: \u201cWhat the hell are they playing at?”<\/p>\n

Vanity Fair\u2019s Katie Nicholl had a chance to speak with the Queen\u2019s cousin, Lady Elizabeth Anson, back in 2020 when this was happening in real time.<\/p>\n

Queen Elizabeth II was hurt by Harry’s decision to leave<\/p>\n

Nicholl said: \u201cShe couldn\u2019t understand how Harry, who had loved his military career and been devoted to duty, could change the way he did.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added: \u201c\u2018It\u2019s so sad that at her age, having managed the most amazing reign, it has been sullied. He has hurt her beyond belief.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

According to Nicholl, Harry and Meghan\u2019s departure was abrupt, which made things even harder on the Queen, who was expecting the Sussexes to bring baby Archie over for a visit, which didn\u2019t happen.<\/p>\n

Harry is on the verge of reconciling with King Charles<\/p>\n

“The queen had hoped that they would bring Archie over. She was very disappointed they didn\u2019t,\u2019” Lady Elizabeth told me at the time,” wrote Nicholl. “She was hurt when they left Britain, and how they left so suddenly.\u201d<\/p>\n

Harry will be in the UK this September for the WellChild Awards and there’s talk of him and King Charles meeting in-person, but it’s yet to be confirmed. Harry’s reps met with Charles’ rep earlier this month, which is a good sign that it is possible.<\/p>\n

It doesn’t seem like William is involved, and the photo of Harry’s reps meeting with Charles’ rep was meant for William, to send a message, says Ian Pelham Turner, former royal photographer who is now a well-known TV commentator in the UK.<\/p>\n
